Special Abbreviations
2-dc cluster (2-dc cl) = [Yo, insert hook in next stitch, yo
and pull up loop, yo, draw through 2 loops] twice in same
st or space, yo, draw through all loops on hook.
cluster (cl) = [Yo, insert hook in next stitch, yo and pull
up loop, yo, draw through 2 loops] 3 times in same st or
space, yo, draw through all loops on hook.
shell = 5 dc in same st.

Notes: When beginning a dc round, use either a st, ch


3 to start or work a beginning dc as follows: wrap yarn
around hook, yo and draw up a loop in specified st or
space and complete as for a regular dc. When joining,
connect to either top of ch-3 or top of dc.

THROW
Small Square (make 26, 13 with C as first color and 13
with D as first color)
With first color, ch 4, join with st in first ch.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), 2
dc in ring, ch 2, [3 dc in ring, ch 2] 3 times; join with st in
beginning ch-3 – 12 dc; 4 ch-2 spaces. Fasten off.
Round 2: With right side facing, join A in any ch-2 space,
ch 1, (sc, ch 2, sc, ch 3, sc, ch 2, sc, ch 1) in each ch-2
space around; join with slip st in first sc – 4 ch-1 spaces; 8
ch-2 space; 4 ch-3 spaces. Fasten off.
Round 3: With right side facing, join B with st in any ch-1
space, ch 3 (or work beginning dc), 2 dc in same space,
Rectangles & Squares ch 1, *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-3 space, ch 1**, 3 dc in
next ch 1 sp, ch 1; repeat from * around ending last repeat

Throw
at **; join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3 – 36 dc; 8
ch-1 space; 4 ch-2 spaces. Fasten off.
Round 4: With right side facing, join A with st in any ch-1
space, ch 1, sc in each ch-1 space and in each dc around,

per side = 15 sts on each side. Fasten off.
