Activity: Read a fable. Have one students to read aloud a fable The Tortoise and
the Hare by Aesop. Ask them to think about the moral of the story.

Minutes Developing the Lesson
Teacher will ask students what is plot?
- Plot is sequence of event.
Teacher will keep asking the question and after students think, teacher will answer
What is exposition?
- The start of the story. Background.
what is rising action?
- The series of conflicts and crisis in the story that lead to the climax.
what is climax?
- The turning point. The most intense moment (can be mentally or in action).
What is falling action?
- All of the action which follows the climax.
What is resolution?
- The conclusion, the tying together of all of the threads.
After explaining the structure of plot, teacher will have students read a story "The
Gift of the Magi by o. Henry.
Teacher will ask students to volunteer to be the character to role play.

Minutes Closing the Lesson
Teacher will review the lesson.
- Teacher will tell students to put away their story,
- Teacher will ask students to take out their paper and ask them to write down
and identify the element of plot of the story of The Gift of the Magi.
Teacher will ask students to share their moral about the story.
