thing that I dislike is that there is no laboratory in the school which supposed to use some of
the materials in labs. Instead of this, my mentor encouraged me to use some of the grade-level
materials in observations and lessons that I will illustrate science for them.
Some of the materials that I would like to use in my lesson is that the materials for the
appropriate grade-level. Also, I learned how and when the teacher and students could use it. I
found out that there are some specific materials for primary learners and some for secondary
students. Because of this, the school includes different levels from Kindergarten to a higher
level which is grade 10 students. I noticed that both elementary and secondary use science
recourses, but when students are growing they start to use composite materials that related to
physics, chemistry, or electricity tools.
From my observations, students and teachers are using materials that are
relevant to the curriculum. Sometimes, I feel some of the materials are related to
mathematics and science at one time (figure 2). It makes sense when students in
3rd graders are learning about measurement, and in science, they use weighing
scales and balances. I think there is a relationship between mathematics and
science subject.
