    Application of noise limited coverage


    for frequencies between 10 kHz and 30 MHz
    in HTZ Warfare

    The recommendation ITU-R P.372-8 for calculation of external radio noise has been implemented in HTZ
    Warfare as a threshold calculator. The calculator is based on the NOISEDAT ITU library and its NOIS1
    application.

    Individual noise type levels and associated variations can be calculated as per the original ITU-DOS
    application. The levels are given in dB above KTb.

    The extension for the noise calculator according to the recommendation ITU-R M.1467 in order to meet the
    A2 and NAVTEX levels has also been implemented.

    The four thresholds depending on the noise types are calculated and converted for a direct use in HTZ
    Warfare.

    Coverage per Noise type

    For a given transmitter or network, it is possible to graphically display the coverage for quiet rural, rural,
    residential and business noise environments.
