Adani Gas Ltd.


Mr. Ajay had a dream of joining the company Adani but he had
some news that the retention rate is low in the company so he
thought to investigate about the companys compensation
policies to understand what the reason is for the employees
leaving the company.
Adani was founded by Mr. Gautam Adani in 1988. The
headquarters of the company are in Ahmedabad. Adani Gas was
incorporated in the year 2004 and has set up gas distribution
networks in the States of Gujarat (Ahmedabad, Vadodara)
Haryana (Faridabad) and Uttar-Pradesh (Khurja).
Adani believes that OUR ASSESTS WALK OUT OF THE DOOR
EACH EVENING. WE HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY COME BACK
THE NEXT MORNING. They always want their employees to be
happy with the company. They have various policies that ensure
that their good employees do not leave the company.
The first policy is I have an idea where in the employees are
encouraged to post new ideas on their company portal. This will
promote ideas in the company and the employees will feel that
yes they are a part of the company.
The second policy is Marriage policy the newly wedded
employee of the company is offered a gift by the company. The
gift depends upon the category/grade the employee falls in.
The third policy is Employee Family Get-together in this the
employees of the same department are given a certain amount so
that each of them belonging to the same department can bring
their families and have a get-together. This is done to break the
monotonous work schedule and to develop good relationships in
the company.
The fourth policy is EMPLOYEE CONVENIENCE SERVICE SCHEME
in this policy a professional agency takes care of the personal
requirement of the employees. Payment of bills, Postal, Bank
work, Travel booking etc. All the expenses are borne by the
company for providing help desk service.
Various perks and benefits such as:
At the completion of every 2.5 years, 3000rs, 5000rs,
10000rs are given to every employee for buying mobile
phones.
Each employee is given a limit of mobile bill of 350rs every
month.
Local conveyance of 3.4rs/km for 2 wheeler and 7.5rs/km for
4 wheeler is given by the company
On Death of any employee, the family member of that
particular employee receives amount of INR 50 lakh. 500rs
being the minimum amount gets deducted from every
employee of the Adani group.
Various days like Engineers day (projects, quiz, paper
presentation, expert lecture)
Gas day (employee talent, Awards distribution Employee of the
year, champion team award)
Spouse day (employees spouse competition, seminar like
successful parenting)
From the above findings Mr. Ajay was quite clear about the
company. According to him there are some points that the
company should add to retain its employees. The points could
be...
1. The employees want future security so the company should
provide for employee stock options.
2. There are many employees who come from different states
so the company should try to provide rent free or company
leased accommodations to them.
3. Every employee wishes that the company offers good
retirement options so he has secure and peaceful life further
or the company can provide good gratuity options for its
employees.
