The first step we took in our Sustainability journey was to chart a clear roadmap with defined targets. At Tech Mahindra in along
with Mahindra Group Sustainability team we identified material issues which are critical to our business operations. Against each
of the material issues we have taken 2 year comprehensive targets.

Tech Mahindras CSR wing Tech Mahindra Foundation (TMF) is committed to play its role as an enlightened corporate citizen and
continues to earmark 1.5% of its Profit After Tax (PAT) every year for CSR activities. CSR activities are mainly carried through
Tech Mahindra Foundation. TMF specifically works in three verticalsEducation, Vocational Training and Employment, and
Disability.

Education is the fundamental theme of
TMFs work and one of the more
significant interventions that the
foundation has initiated. TMF believes
that it is education which can
substantially leverage changes in
developing an equitable and just social
system. This has led TMF to create
various opportunities and platforms to
empower individuals and systems to
achieve a farfetched dream of educating
children of disadvantaged sections.
TMF promotes the concept of
education to employability, and runs
the SMART (Skills-for-Market-Training)
program to encourage and facilitate
employment opportunities for youth from
the marginalized communities. Under
this program, there are SMART and
SMART+ (for persons with disabilities)
centers, which are operational across
India.
TMF seeks to give dignity and
independence to persons with disability
(with a special focus on visual disability)
through inclusive education, providing

entrepreneurial skills, and opportunities,
thereby allowing them to be self-reliant.

EMISSION REDUCTION

In our effort for greening our operations at Tech Mahindra we have challenged ourselves to work in an environmentally
responsible manner and to find new ways to reduce our carbon footprint. We have strived towards how we can move towards
a low carbon infrastructure and how we can imbibe renewables energy.

Key Achievements:

Our per capita electricity consumption has reduced by
24 % over our baseline figure of FY2012-13
Our electricity consumption per square meter has
reduced by 19 % in of our operations
Proposed installation of solar plants at Pune (78kW) &
Hyderabad (554 kWh)
Installation of Occupancy Sensors has resulted in a
savings of 862 MTCO2 annually. They have generated
total electricity savings of 655257 KWh along with cost
efficiency.
Tech M Hyderabad & Bangalore campuses are OHSAS
18001:2007 certified for Health, Safety and
Environment & LEED certified

Successful commisioning of Chennai SEZ solar plant of
Effective usage of radiant cooling mechanisms at Pune,

WATER STEWARDSHIP

Growing footprints along with inefficiency to manage water for direct operations has paved the way for a whole new chapter in the
corporate business continuity strategies.

As Tech Mahindra broadens its horizons in the IT & telecom sector attaining robust business growth, we realize that the water
required that is reliable, accessible and of acceptable quality to run our operations will also show an upward accent. Hence, we have
started working towards measuring, reporting and reducing the water footprint of our operations.

Sewage Treatment Plants: We always look for maximizing opportunities for end-to-end reuse of wastewater and water
treatment. Thus, STPs have been set up at five of our major campuses to treat waste water which is reused for non-operational
purposes like landscaping.

Water recycling: Campuses that have STP installed are Zero Discharge Facilities & recycle sewage generated completely. It is
reused for non-operational purposes like landscaping. The focus is on reducing the water intensity of our operations. This not only
helps in effectively conserving water but also bring in cost efficiency.

Rain Water Harvesting Systems: Rain water collected in these reservoirs helps reduce our dependency on fresh water
sources. In case of changes in availability of water, we are resilient to adverse effects due to these measures.
