To Whom It May Concern:

It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Jaime Hermosillo as a professional candidate for the field of Higher

Education. During the past year and a half that I have served as an Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at

Northwestern University, I have had the opportunity to directly supervise Jaime. He has grown tremendously in this time

and been a reliable, sharp, and grounded force for our team. Im very excited to see what endeavors Jaime takes on

next.

While Jaime has been an integral part of our entire Northwestern sorority and fraternity community, his impact

has been felt particularly within the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), a community of cultural Greek organizations

that he guides and supports. Jaime is extraordinarily invested in his students, always making time to be with them,

whether in a one-on-one setting or at one of their chapter events after work hours. He has an uncanny ability to connect

with almost anyone he meets, engaging naturally in conversation, and making others feel immediately comfortable and

valued. Jaime has carried this philosophy on relationship-building into his work with the MGC community, being a

persistent advocate for engagement and unity between its ten individual organizations. Considering where they started,

with the member organizations often struggling to make any real connections between themselves, Jaime has brought

them leaps and bounds toward a new reality of interconnectedness, where they are invested in and contributing to one

others success. Whether it has been through coordinating communal dinner events or creating a healing space for

students to discuss shared challenges together, Jaime has been intentional and driven in pursuit of his goals.

Much of what makes Jaime irreplaceable is his unyielding commitment to social justice. He brings this focused,

consistent perspective into absolutely everything we do. Jaime envisioned and orchestrated a series of meetings

between the leadership of our four governing councils around developing a cohesive community. This is no easy task,

considering the wide array of identities and experiences represented in our community. Jaimes facilitation of this space

was key, providing enough direction and motivation to compel the students forward, but always allowing them to lead

each conversation. In addition to his justice-oriented work with students, Jaime recognizes the need to engage larger
systems and structures. He has been an important voice and leader for a current project exploring the development of a

space on Northwesterns campus specifically for our Multicultural Greek Council and National Pan-Hellenic Council

students. Having this sort of ability to strategize at such a high level makes me confident that Jaime will be able to

engage in work that creates meaningful change.

For all the above reasons, I believe Jaime Hermosillo is an exceptional candidate for any institution of higher

education. He is committed with worthy purposes and carries the intellect and skills to realize them. I have no doubt

that he will leave an indelible mark wherever he goes, as he has already on the Northwestern sorority and fraternity

community. If there are any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach me at the contact information provided.
