Project Title: A Proposed Livelihood Training Center
Project Description:

Livelihood is a means of making a living. It encompasses peoples capabilities,

assets, income and activities required to secure the necessities of life. It is sustainable
when it enables people to cope with and recover from shocks and stresses such as natural
disasters which is common in the Philippines and economic or social upheavals.

The number of women who are unemployed have increased over the past years.
The aim of Mrs. Rodita Galanto is to help women who doesnt have a job in Guinobatan,
Leganes, Iloilo especially those who have been abused to divert their attention and to turn
their ideas of creating products into reality. She also aims to empower women to feel that
they have also a big role in the society and not to feel any less of a woman. This is where a
livelihood training center would be useful to hold trainings and seminars to help women
make a living.

The proposed livelihood training center is going to be constructed from a portion

of 7535 sq. m private lot of Mrs. Rodita Galanto in Guinobatan, Leganes, Iloilo City. She will
also be one to fund this project. Not only would the women in Guinobatan, Leganes could
benefit from this Proposed Livelihood training center but as well as their families.
