Dear Sir,

Greetings!

CE 5102 (Civil Engineering Project) is a subject taken by all 5 th year Bachelor of Science in
Civil Engineering (BSCE) students of Central Philippine University. This course is geared towards the
use of civil engineering background in probable community development projects or industry research.
Students are grouped in threes with a civil engineering faculty adviser to undertake a study on the
design of civil engineering projects such as water supply system, public market, slaughterhouse,
hospital, highway, drainage system and others.

One of the groups will work on the PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION AND RELOCATION OF
THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE IN MIAG-AO, ILOILO.
The student members of the group are:
1. Glenn Ariel Estenor
2. Alvin John Cabangal
3. Shiela Faldas

Their scope of work may include any or all of the following: architectural and structural design of a
slaughterhouse as well as electrical and plumbing design, and provide calculation of project cost and
estimates.

On this regard, may we request access of students to any material and information relevant to
their project study? Such information may include the requirements for double A class slaughterhouse,
specific data on the design standards and specifications which are very essential in their study. Working
on actual projects will motivate them to accomplish this course effectively and efficiently. However,
deficiencies in their work could not be avoided since they are not practicing professionals. But with the
help of the faculty advisers, it is hoped that the students can come up with satisfactory results.
Consequently, their project study will serve as a preliminary investigation of the communitys planned
projects.

Thank you for sharing your valuable time and resources with us.

Yours truly,

ENGR. MARY EARLDARYL A. GRIO
