Reflection prompt 1. Did your article, or things you saw in your search for articles, change
the way you think about science? Did you see evidence of scientists actively engaged in
public policy debates, and were you surprised by their level of advocacy?

Yes, it made me think more about science. Everything around us changes every day and new
findings of understanding ourselves or other species. This article was based on, if the hippocampus
works as mapping in our brain to remember. They did the condition test when the rat to see if they
responds to frequency and knowing where to go and when to press the lever. They went on of how
the mouse remember, because the mouse created a mental map to form memories of the location in
the brain. There was no debates on this issue. A new hypothesis was form using the conditioning
technique.

Reflection prompt 2. Discuss how your article made connections to another discipline, like
business, government, politics, economics, or humanities. If it didnt make any connections
to other disciplines, discuss a connection it could have made.

This article pertains how our hippocampus works by mapping. This gives us an understanding how
people remember places where they go and creating new memories. Everything we do in life is a
new memory and we are creating a map in our brain. This map helps to guide us and remember
what our past experience was like and where to go.

Reflection prompt 3. Describe how the class as a whole has impacted your views on science,
the human body, and human impacts on the planet.

I never thought Human Biology is interesting to learn. Even though I would read the book. I would
watch YouTube videos to watch more to understand the function. I am a visual learner and I want to
see the movements of how it works to understand what I am reading. I have grown to love science
more than I did before. A human body and species have a huge impact on Earth of how we live by
touch, smell, taste, and feel. How everything on this earth recycle and everything is created by
science with an explanation of how the world works with living and non living.
