HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

ENDORSEMENT

During my 40 years in ministry, I have read

numerous books on the critical topic of Faith. I have
even written one of my own, Faith: Use it or Lose
It. Regrettably, what I have found over the years is
that far too many Believers are putting their faith in
faith and not in the Character of God.

In his book, He Brews Your Faith, Minister

Perry emphasizes the importance of us
understanding the Character of God. He reminds us
that when God created man we were given the power
to emulate His Character. Of course, one of Gods
character traits is faith words. However, we must
not forget that our confidence should not be in the
power of faith but rather in the Person of our Lord

5
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

and Savior Jesus Christ who is the source of our

faith.

As the title proclaims, He (God) Brews (verb)

Our (us) Faith (Resource). This step-by-step faith
building book is so simple that it is profound.

I encourage you to get one for yourself and one

for a friend.

INTRODUCTION

While meditating on the Word of God, I felt led

to focus on faith. For every believer, having faith is a
constant battle to exercise in all situations.

However, 2 Corinthians 5:7 tells us that if we are

children of God we are to walk by faith and not by
sight. This is not an option, if we want to obtain the
fullness of Gods promises. For many, this is a
struggle. I know it was for me. As soon as we get
born again, by receiving Jesus Christ into our hearts
by faith (Roman 10:8-10), we are given a measure of
faith to exercise and grow. The Bible says to every
man is given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3).

Let me pause for a moment to ask this question:

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and
Savior? If not, I would like to pray the Prayer of

7
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

Salvation with you right now. Unless you are a

believer, this book would just be good information
for you and not a source of life that can connect you
to the promises of God. So, if you are not saved, then
your mind will be blinded to the revelation and the
understanding of this book. Therefore, we are going
to fix this problem right now. Just say this prayer out
loud and really believe in your heart and you shall be
saved.

Dear Heavenly Father, forgive me for

my sins and change my heart towards You.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins and

covered them with His Blood. I also believe
that He rose from the dead and He is alive as
we speak. Come into my heart and save me
now. I confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and
Savior. And I renounce the ways of the world.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

8
Introduction

Now, brothers and sisters, if you said that prayer

and believed it in your heart, you are saved. From
this point on, heaven is your home and His spirit will
bear witness with your spirit that you are a child of
God. Now, you can hear the message you are about
to read with clarity (Romans 10:8-10).

Again, while meditating on faith, I went to

Hebrews 11:6 and it says,

But without faith it is impossible to please

him: for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.

After quoting that scripture several times myself,

to get a deeper understanding of it, the Holy Spirit
gave me a thought and thats when I decided to write
this book. I started jotting down a few titles, but the
Holy Spirit led me to the above scripture.

9
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

Then He revealed to me the title, He Brews Your

Faith. According to Websters American English
Dictionary (New Edition), Brew means to, make by
fermenting or steeping. The word steeping means
two things: having a very sharp slope or great
elevation or to soak in liquid.

What God was saying to me is that meditating

and soaking in His Word will make your faith
stronger, sharper and greater. The Bible says to fight
the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12).

So, in order for a believer to be able to fight a

fight of faith, they must be trained, coached and
strengthened in the area of faith.

As I studied, by reading and hearing some of the

great men and women of faith, I tapped into the
following.

10
Introduction

I found that they all believed in:

the power of the spoken word

speaking to your mountains in life
thinking big at all times
meditating on Gods Word day and night
prosperity paradigms
believing and receiving Gods promises
The gifts of the Holy Spirit
praying in the Spirit and
supernatural healings

Some of the ministers and teachers I studied

were: Smith Wigglesworth, Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth
Copeland, Jesse Duplantis, Joyce Meyer, Keith A.
Butler, Frederick Price, Creflo Dollar, Jerry Savelle,
and my spiritual father, Bishop Benjamin Gilbert. All
of these people were very essential in my
understanding of faith.

11
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

In this book, you will find practical application

and real life scenarios, so that the Holy Spirit can
Brew Your Faith.

12
CHAPTER ONE

What Is Faith?

Now faith is the substance of things

hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen (Hebrews 11:1 KJV).

Faith is a substance that overcomes fear. As

believers, we battle with understanding and growing
our faith. The reason why we dont receive the
fullness of what God has for us is because of fear and
the lack of knowledge.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the

evidence of things not seen. So, that means that faith
is spiritual material or essence. The word

13
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

substance means essence or essential part, physical

material or wealth. Lets take this meaning.

In order to create something, one has to have all

the materials or parts in order for the creation to be
complete or operable. For example, you can create a
car without a transmission and make it look good
but, in order for you to drive it without being
pushed, you need that essential part (transmission).
That is the way it is with receiving the things you
hope for. So, now we understand that faith is the
essential part that will allow dreams, visions, goals
and desires to come to pass in our lives.

How do we obtain faith?

This book of the law shall not depart

out of thy mouth; but thou shalt
meditate therein day and night, that
thou mayest observe to do according to
all that is written therein: for then thou

14
Chapter One

shalt make thy way prosperous, and

then thou shalt have good success.
Joshua 1:8 KJV

Outside of receiving the initial measure of faith

to be saved, you receive this substance by meditating
on Gods Word. The Word of God says that the just
shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38).

So, this substance is developed in the Word of

God. Faith is not something that you see physically.
You see it spiritually. In other words, what you are
hoping for you are believing that you have it already,
mentally and spiritually, before it even becomes a
reality. That invisible acknowledgement and
confidence that you have what you hope for is the
substance that is called faith. The world teaches us
that we must see it to believe it for something to be
true, but the Word of God teaches us to believe it is

15
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

truth first in the spirit and then you will see it in the
natural.

According to Romans 8:7-8,

(Because) the carnal mind is enmity against

God: for it is not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be. So then they that are in
the flesh cannot please God.

I like this verse because Hebrews 11:6 says that

without faith it is impossible to please God.
Therefore, if you are not in faith, you are in fear.
God is not pleased with that, because He hath not
given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,
and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Most of us battle with this because of a lack of

intimacy with God and His Word. Lets be truthful.
We are conditioned to believe what we hear, see,
touch, taste, or smell. These are our five physical

16
Chapter One

senses. Over the years, our minds have even

subconsciously developed patterns of thinking which
are consistent with our usual exposure or
environments.

For example, if you grew up in an environment

that was poverty-stricken and you were taught that
poverty was being humble before God you accepted
it as truth, since you saw a lot of poor religious
people and chances are that you would also be poor.
However, we are told in Proverbs 23:7a, For as he (a
man) thinketh in his heart, so is he.

We must understand that real faith comes by

hearing, hearing by the word of God (Roman 10:17
NKJV). Faith also develops from the mental and
spiritual images you create and focus on within. It is
true that you can believe something is possible but
dont believe that it can happen for you. Many

17
HE BREWS YOUR FAITH

struggle with this, because it has not been

internalized in their soul and spirit man.

Belief is a possibility, but faith is an assurance or

inward knowing that those things hoped for and
asked for will truly come to pass in ones life. Praise
God, my brothers and sisters, for the victory of faith
and let us continue to pursue it with all diligence.
