Reflection for chapter 10&11:

Chapter 10 and 11 are helpful for soon-to-be teachers and fresh teachers. It is important for
teachers to know that there are certain personal attributes and characteristics that shows a teacher
is effective. As I read chapter 10, I was looking at my teachers and current teachers and what
they personal attributes are and how it is helping and has helped me in my studies. Doing this
helps me reflect on what kind of teachers I should be in the future. Chapter 11 talks about being
professional and effective in teaching concerning the usage of time, getting the students
attention, and interactive instruction. I thought that teaching is just simply teaching your lesson.
This chapter has made me realize that being professional and effective is important in teaching. I
think using variety would be difficult for me as I lack creativity in finding different ways to
engage the students attention. I would need to observe other teachers use this method to help
me.
