Dear Parents,

I am writing to you to explain the importance of art and creative

expression in my classroom. Letting the children do art and be
creative is a beneficial thing in their lives, especially at their
young ages. They are learning how to express their emotions
through drawing, music and dance and even through building
blocks. The children are using their imagination to create new
things.

There will always be opportunity to do art in my classroom. I want

your children to be able to express their emotions and use their
creativity and I want to show them that their artwork means
something. I will constantly be hanging up and displaying their
finished products to show that their piece has meaning. I will also
be teaching the children the importance of art in their lives and
the history of the art. I want the children to explore their creativity
side and see where it will take them!
