Background Information to the Topic

The rising issue of immigration has become a common debate topic, as

well as a prominent world matter. The topic of immigration is constantly in
question. Limitations on immigration could either benefit or ruin a country. In
this conference, we get to explore the common issues various countries have
with immigration and how they can solve them.
Within this issue, important areas involved are primarily centered in
Middle Eastern countries. These countries have been targeted and placed as
an example f0r immigrant problems. Many countries have differing opinions
regarding their policies on immigration from Middle Eastern countries.
A common debate within this topic is limitations with Middle Eastern
countries immigrating to other countries. Delegates can debate about their
country's policies and whether or not they allow people to immigrate. During
a formal caucus, delegates are expected to state their countrys stance on
the issue and debate about the possibility of changing it. In addition, we ask
them to find a resolution and give their final position on the issue at hand.
Immigration is a continuous matter that the entire world faces. In this
conference, we are focusing, primarily, on the Middle East and countries
within it. Middle Eastern citizens are immigrating all over the world.
Delegates will discuss their immigration statistics and issues brought on by
those, pertaining to the Middle East.
Important dates to consider during debate are attacks directed from or
towards the Middle East. It will benefit your stance to know when
immigration became a significant problem for your country, as well as any
attacks or threats that your country may have faced.
This issue affects most countries all over the world and is commonly
debated. It can be considered a basic human right, as well as something that
could damage a country. Many people believe this point to be something that
humans should be given freely, as it could be considered freedom. It is
ultimately up to the policies that your country has adopted.
This conference is focused predominantly on the future of your country.
Within this conference, you will get the opportunity to debate about the fate
of your country and the outcome they will face. This debate will determine
the future of your country, the future of the globe, and the impact you have
on it.

Bloc Positions

Allowing immigrants to travel to other countries freely:

The right to travel and live permanently in other countries. Your

country allows immigration into it and accepts illegal immigration. If your
country fits into this group, you will more than likely debate about the
acceptance of immigration and the safety of other countrys citizens.

Not permitting immigrants to travel to your country freely:

Disagreement with immigration, both legal and nonlegal. Doesnt allow

people to freely travel and move to their country illegally. If your country
pertains to this specific group, you will more than likely debate about the
banning of immigration.

Questions to Consider & Resolution Ideas

Questions to Consider:
Which countries pose as threats to the sovereignty of the country
you are representing?
How do immigrants harm/benefit your countrys economy and
safety?
How do immigrants from the Middle East harm/benefit your
countrys economy and safety?
What actions has your country taken to accept or deny
immigrants in present day or in the past?
Where do your allies stand on this issue?

Resolution Ideas:
The acceptance of immigrants to freely live and travel to various
countries.
The banning of immigration to and from other countries.
Various ideas pertaining to contentment with immigration across
the world.
