The institution that I want to do this assignment is the mass media.

I believe that I am
interested in this because I feel as though media is a big part in the new and upcoming youths
such as myself. There are different ways that we as youths perceive the media, sometimes from
fake news to other things such as releases for different brands and such. THe media is a major
component in today's society so I feel like it is a very current topic that I could write about.
The reason why it interest me is because personally I have a connection with the media in
that I have been cyberbullied before because of my weight back in elementary school all the way
until my freshman year of high school. I would like to do it on the effects on society from media
because I think that it really has not been covered since we all shake it off from the news as just
over exaggerating things. I believe that this is something that the news and other outlets should
cover much more in depth.
The first source talks about how the current devices such as phones increase different
types of communications through media and can change the way that we see society. The second
source talks about how society can warp different things like health issues from the media and
that we are less likely to trust something from society now than before. The third source it talks
about how the youths are struggling to express themselves and have difficult behavioral
problems because of the constraints that the newer social networks are being created and
implemented into their lives.
