1 Function
Block HTRAN is part of the Home Location Register Subsystem (HRS) in APR.
Block HTRAN fetches, translates and analyses command parameters for command functions
from Input-Output Subsystem (IOS), as well as inserts parameter data into the line buffer,
and is the TC-User block for policing of Mobile Application Part (MAP) operations received in
Home Location Register (HLR).
The block also translates MAP-Codes for signalling functions and provides them with
subscription related data. All of this data is recognized by one unique code called service
pointer. This pointer may point out any individual service from the Service data file.

Identifier 2 - 6 characters
The Supplementary Services AOC, ASL, BSL, CLIP, CLIR, COLP, COLR, CREL, CUG, CUNRL,
EMLPP, ECT, HOLD, ICI, MPTY, OIN, PLMNO, SERVTL, TIN, TTP, OICK, TICK and UNIV cannot
be used as an argument of command parameter SS. They are used as an argument of
command parameter SUD except for provisioning of ASL, BSL, CREL, CUG, CUNRL, PLMNO,
SERVTL, TTP and UNIV services (See: Table 3 )
When a certain Supplementary Service is not supported by the system the corresponding
string will not be recognized by it.
SS are only printed (printout SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE DATA) if the Supplementary Service
has been provided.

CHAR Roaming area characteristic
Identifier 3 - 8 characters
Table 10 Roaming Area Characteristic
CHAR identifier Description Action
AOCC ADVICE OF CHARGE (CHARGING) SUPPORTED I/E/P
This characteristic is only applicable when MAP version 1 is
used between HLR and VLR. When a mobile subscriber having
Advice of Charge Charging provided roams into a VLR not
characterized as AOCC, the whole PLMN may be restricted
until a new UPDATE LOCATION message is performed from a
VLR supporting Advice of Charge.
EXTCAMEL EXTENDED CAMEL ALLOWED I/E/P
The availability of this characteristic depends on commercial
agreements.
OLDHLIDR OLD HANDLING FOR LINE IDENTIFICATION RESTRICTION I/E/P
SERVICES
This characteristic is applicable to both CLIR and COLR
supplementary services. For CLIR it implies the old syntax in
which only the values 'temporary default restricted'
(RestrictionPerCall=TRUE) and 'permanent'
(RestrictionPerCall=FALSE) are allowed to convey CLIR
subscription information. For COLR it implies the old handling
in which the COLR related data is sent to VLR in
InsertSubscriberData message only if the service is provided.
ROAMREST ROAMING RESTRICTED IN THIS PLMN I/E/P
This characteristic is applicable between HLR and VLR/SGSN.
