MY DOG

HOW IT GOT HOME

At Christmas my family decided to buy a dog. We went to the pet shop and we got one. It was
a cute puppy. It was small, sort of black and has got brown eyes. It was three months old. We
call him Chiquitn. My sister and I were really happy. Many of my neighbours have dogs, some
of them have smaller dogs than mine and some of them have bigger ones. We taught it how to
pee in the park and not at home and we gave it a treat each time he did it right. He is a very
friendly dog and he is very smart.

We dont allow our dog to hurt anybody in the family and at night he sleeps in its kennel in the
living room.

DOG BREEDS

When you buy a dog you have to be sure about what dog is the best for you. You must think
about how much space you have at home, if you have got another pet , how old you are , the
time you will have to care for it or if there are children in the family.

Big dogs as Siberian Huskies or German Shepherds will be not confortable in a small
apartment. You will need a smaller dog like a Chihuahua.

If you are a family with chldren a labrador retriever or a golden retriever will make you spend
wonderful moments. They are playful and lovable.

For old peopleI would not recommend breeds which are very energetic like Dalmatians or
Boxers or very large breeds like St. Bernard because they are very strong and people could fall
while they are taking them for a walk.

HOW WE TAKE CARE OFHIM

Chiquitn eats dog food and he likes to eat a lot. Sometimes he begs for food by whining but we
can only give him food two times a day, in the morning and in the evening. We have to give
Chiquitin water throughout the day. Sometimes we give him special treats or bones to play with.

Chiquitn likes going to the park. We go to the park in the morning and at night. He runs a lot. I
take Chiquitin to the park because he needs to go out every day to do exercise and to play with
other dogs. Chiquitn likes to play with me, and he has a lot of toys.

WHAT PETS ARE GOOD FOR

I think pets are good for all types of people, because people can play with their pets for example
if you have a dog you can go outside to play fetch or if you have a cat you can play with a rope
that the cat has to try to catch, and also pets bring us companionship. You can do many activities
with animals sometimes they are very funny when you play with them.
In my opinion more and more people are going to have pets in the future. Pets are going to be
on fashion because they are very cool. You can enter many places with your pet now even you
can travel with your pet by train, metro or plane.
