To Whom it May Concern:

It has been my pleasure to have been the English 8 and Literature 7 teacher for Seymour High
School student Delaney Friend during her junior high years at Immanuel Lutheran School.
Since that time, I have been able to continue to follow Delaneys achievements throughout her
high school career as well as in our community. Not only is Delaney a polite, respectful young
woman, but she has also taught me a great deal over the years about hard work, perseverance,
and the importance of a positive attitude.

Delaneys work ethic and its rewards have been demonstrated through her achievements in
school, in athletics, and in her employment. Delaney was a high honor roll student at Immanuel
and continues this achievement at Seymour High School; she demonstrates that hard work and
persistence do pay off. Her preparation for a career in the business field has included taking and
mastering a variety of advanced classes and maintaining a 3.9 gpa (unweighted). Delaney
spends much time on her studies to maintain her excellent grades.

Over the years this multifaceted young lady has also shown her work ethic through
extracurricular activities. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the Renaissance club,
student government, and the Riley Hospital Dance Marathon committee; this high school senior
is also an FCA Leadership member, a four year member of the Latin Club, and a DARE role
model. Likewise, Delaney has demonstrated her work ethic in athletics during her time at
Immanuel, on travel teams, and as a member of Seymours athletic teams. Along with excelling
in competitions and receiving individual honors for her contributions to these teams, Delaney has
shown that perseverance, dedication, and collaborative team efforts can result in success.

Additionally, Delaney demonstrates responsibility and work ethic by maintaining part time
employment at Girls Inc and at the Beloved Bridal Boutique. Delaney has also volunteered with
tutoring, at the local food pantry, and at the Boys and Girls Club.

Delaneys beautiful smile and easy-going, genial nature act as a magnet for others. She gets
along well with all those whom she encounters. In addition to having a positive relationship with
her peers, Delaney is respectful to those in authority. She has many attributes which make her
not only a success now, but will ensure future achievement as she continues her education in
college and eventually in her career.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Sandra Franke
