In support of the Every Child A Reader Program of the department, the following guidelines are set for the conduct of this year’s Enhanced School-Based Summer Reading Camp cum Writers’ ‘Summit which shall be held on May 8-19, 2017. a. This year’s Enhanced School-Based Summer Reading Camp shall aim to: i, Develop genuine love for reading; li, Review among learners the least mastered skills in the languages (MTB, Filipino ‘and English) in preparation for the Early Language Literacy and Numeracy (ELLNA) and the National Achievement Test; li, Hone journalistic skills of writers through practice and close supervision by coaches and school paper advisers through the Writers’ Summit which is compulsory to all schools collecting publication fees and participating in the Division Schools Press Conferences b. Schoo! heads shall take the leadership in providing appropriate reading materials for each grade level, Reading materials from the Library Hub are recommended. Likewise, a story taken up for the day shall be used as the take off point in the construction of questions for the review of least mastered skills through strategies that bring fun, excitement and enjoyment, © Facilitators shall be identified based on their subject specialization and faciitating/storytelling sills 4. Service credits shall be granted after evaluating the total number of hours required as reflected in the Daily Time Record (Form 48). The DTR shall be submitted by the schoo! head to the Records Section while accomplishment report in a form of a 4-pagenewsletter shall be complied at the district level. The compilation shall be submitted to the CID Chief on or before May 34, 2017. €. Suggested matrices are attached (Enclosures 1 and 2). 2.
