‘To whom it may concern,
am writing to you in regards to the position you have available at Winchester Medical Center in the
Labor and Delivery Unit. | will ea a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in May from Shenandoah
University, Eleanor Wade Custer School of Nursing. In my senior Preceptorship on Mother/Baby and
in the Women’s and Children’s Float Pool, | had the opportunity to work under two nurses who had
many years experience in women and infant medicine. These experiences allowed me to encounter
this patient population more in depth, and allowed me to further fine tune my assessments and care
for newborns and their mothers.
Ihave enclosed a copy of my resume, and | am looking forward to starting a career in a field with
great opportunities for myself to grow as a nurse and a person. If granted this opportunity, | will bring
a positive attitude, leadership qualities, and organizational skills in addition to the nursing skills | have
acquired. | have had instructors comment on my “go getter” personality and the fact that | set high
goals for myself and complete them without difficulty. Starting a career with you is my next goal
It would be a privilege to become a member of the Winchester Medical Center and Valley Health
‘System team. | look forward to hearing from you. | can be reached at 540.336.4224 or
bkeeslin10@su.edu. Thank you for your time.
Sincere!
