How to map a drive to access your class folder and data in SNRE:

If connecting from off campus you will need to establish a VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection
before you continue. If you are on campus proceed to step 2

Step 1: Install VPN application


1a: Point your browser to vpn.arizona.edu.

1b: Input your UANetID and password. Leave the Group as is.

Install the necessary java application and Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

1c: Verify that you have a valid connection as described here

Now your encrypted point-to-point connection is made to a server on campus.


Step 2: Mapping a drive on your client computer.

2a: Go to Start and then click on Computer

2b: On the next window select Map network drive button on the tool bar.

2c: The Map Network Drive window opens up. There are three steps that you need to do here.

Step 3: Login with Different Users Credentials

3a: In this window you can change the domain by typing snrenet\<username >.

3b: Verify that the domain: is snrenet

3c: Then type the password that you use when in the lab.

3d: Click on the OK button and in a minute or so; a new window should pop-up with the file system
mapped with the drive letter you selected.
