XPR DATA SHEET

The XPR data processing software, which results from 20 years experience in condition monitoring of
rotating machines, has been designed to meet customers requirements by combining user-friendliness,
productivity, performance and reliabilityBased on Internet technology, XPR can also support other condition
monitoring techniques, such as Electrical Signature Analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis and
process data. The same database can include data from both Off-line (Movilog2, MVP-200, MVP-2EX or
MVP-2C data collectors) and On-line (MVX system) measurements. In addition OPC Client and OPC Server
options allow for On-line communication with process control in both directions.
Available in three configurations, single station or Web multi-user, XPR favours information sharing within
and outside the company, and thus allowing a quick and efficient decision-making.

XPR DATA SHEET
1 Three levels of functions

XPR offers three levels of functions to meet closely the requirement of each user:

XPR Easy: first-level monitoring of simple machines. XPR

Easy allows displaying results in a synthetic way (thanks to the
colour pads matrix), displaying the overall level parameter trends
reports as well as the spectra.

XPR Advanced: first-level monitoring of all types of

machines. XPR Advanced manages data coming from other
techniques, such as thermography and oil analysis. XPR
Advanced displays each machines results in an automatic
defect detection grid based on the post-processing of the
collected overall levels and spectra. Most common defects are
automatically identified and indicated in a simple and user-
friendly way. Analysis tools, such as Rouldiag, a bearing
database, and vib-Graph, the graphic analysis module, are
included in XPR Advanced in order allowing in depth analysis
simply and quickly.

XPR Premium: complete monitoring of all types of

machines. Upgrades XPR Premium will add to the Advanced
version deal with the use of all functions available in Movipack
Premium, the management of statistical alarms (reference,
average, last measurement, predictive) and advanced post
processing (filtering, shock detection, self-correlation, etc.). The
advanced post-processing tools are computed from raw time
waveforms and spectrum and are especially suitable for the
monitoring of complex machines.

XPR DATA SHEET
2 A version dedicated to Electrical Signature Analysis

XPR ESA: A version dedicated to Electrical Signature Analysis of

induction motors.
ESA is a diagnostic and analysis module designed to evaluate the
electrical and mechanical behaviours of induction motors. This
technology enables you to monitor operating electrical
equipment and detect mechanical and electrical problems in
the motor, power supply, and driven machine.
ESA offers the ability to clearly detect motor problems, such
as rotor bar deterioration, static and dynamic rotor eccentricity,
stator current imbalance, and monitors the power factor.
ESA also identifies power supply problems by monitoring the
input power, voltage imbalance and harmonics. Overall, ESA
captures mechanical deteriorations from the motor up to the
driven machine on bearings, couplings, belts, pumps, fans,
gears

More specifically, Electrical Signature Analysis operates by

measuring and processing current and voltage from the three
phases applied to the motor. ESA can monitor induction
motors in 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and motors operated by Variable
Frequency Drives (for other electrical installations, ONEPROD
service solutions are available).
To start the monitoring, an extensive motor database allows
for a rapid set-up. Once the data collection has begun, the
analysis software recognizes the typical signature of damage,
leading to an automatic diagnostic of equipment failures. The
motor deteriorations are clearly outlined in the XPR software,
through the automatic Defect Detection Grid, and are also
easily visible on the frequency spectra for a more detailed
analysis.

The measurements for XPR ESA are done with MVX on-line monitoring system and a set of current and
voltage sensors.
With XPR EVA (EVA for Electrical and Vibration Analysis), electrical and vibration input data come
together into a unique database in the same database combining the power of XPR ESA to the
performance of XPR Premium.
