Based on components identified,
teachers identify strengths and
weaknesses of examples shown

Teachers will be expose to the main
components of an action song:
- Theme
5.00 pm 7.00 pm Hall Connecting the Dots - Music/Lyrics
- Movement
- Language
- Presentation (costume/props)

Rest
Teachers take the role of students and
are given training on an action song by
facilitators focusing on detailed

-Teachers are divided into 3 groups of
13, 13 & 14 to prepare and present their
action song

DAY 2 - Sunday

One group performs at a time while
the others fill in an evaluation form

Discussion and constructive criticism
from participants and facilitators
after each performance
10.00 am 10.30 am Hall Tea break
Teachers are given samples of lyrics
to discuss issues such as suitability of
theme/topic, level of language and
the possibilities of adapting lyrics,
adopting lyrics or writing lyrics as
well as putting the music and
10.30 am 12.30 pm Hall Adapt, Adopt, Write movement to them
Teachers choose one sample of lyrics
to be taken back to schools to start
practising the detailed components
HOMEWORK train the students,
record them and bring it to the next
session.
