Greek heroes have certain traits like strength, intelligence, cunning, and wit.

There are

many traits that the Greeks looked for in their heroes, but two stick out the most are

strength and intelligence. For example, Odysseus, a hero in Homers Odyssey, was revered

for his strength & intelligence. The traits of strength and intelligence are most significant in

the story. They are in the story a lot so obviously they would be the most important.

Greeks think intelligence is important because, it helped heroes defeat monsters, figure

out complicated problems on their feet, and calculate wind speed. An example of

Intelligence is when Odysseus recognizes a plant called moly that can only be uprooted by

the gods. This plant was important because If he knew what the plant was he could know

countless other things. The plant was a plant only the gods could uproot but nobody knew

about only scholars knew yet Odysseus is not a scholar. Intelligence is an important aspect

or trait of a Greek hero.

Strength is an important part of a Greeks life. It can help them lift heavy objects, pull

back a strongly tied bow string, hurt other humans or animals that are trying to steal from a

Greek person. Odysseus demonstrated his strength when he was disguised as the beggar

and the suitors were having a contest for who should get the queens hand in marriage. It is

an important trait because it has many different uses.
