Standard 1: Instructional Leadership

Intern Carter performed research on a clicker system that collects and organizes data for teachers called, All in Learning.
Intern Carter research objective was to validate the effects of the clicker system on student engagement and student
achievement. Intern Carter further used a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The group was his first period Pre-Ap class
that before the experiment had zero interaction with the All in Learning system. The experiment was over 5 weeks and
pretest and posttest were given. He also gave a pre-survey and a post survey. Intern Carte collect the data and presented

Intern Carter served as an acting administrator several times during his internship. I observed Intern Carter handling
conflicts with students in the hallways and assisting teachers with instructional strategies and support. Intern Carter also
resolved several parental conflicts and scheduled parent conferences for unruly students. Intern Carter also performed
tardy sweeps to promote quick movement to class and diffused student conflicts during his time in an administrative role.

Carter was a part of several interviews during his internship practicing on what to ask and how to know if candidates fit

the Dallas ISD. He indicated that two things that resonated with him most was the certifications process and background
checks and what may come back as a red flag regarding an applicant.

Intern Carter attended a Dallas I S D board meeting on March 23, 2017 and obtained a copy of the agenda. One focus of
the Board meeting was employee hearings and procedures. After the Board meeting he indicated that he was able to
interact with board members and ask questions regarding the content of the board meeting.

Standard 4: School Culture

Intern Carter founded the Campus Culture Team and serves as the chair of the group. The group is in charge of
administrating surveys to get a "pulse" on the campus and the perception the campus has with faculty and staff. Over the

morale, campus referrals, and dealing with unruly students

Standard 5: Strategic Operations

Intern Carter was designated to view and submit changes to the morning duty procedures at Atwell Middle School. Intern
Carter collected data about the loss of time as it relates to the school's morning procedures. Intern Carter further presented
his findings to the administrative team and they collectively came up with solutions which include the use of additional
staff and better strategic placement. Intern Carter met with and went over the new policy with morning duty staff
members.

Intern Carter, shadowed the office manager as she conducted board of patrol meetings (School Finance). Intern Carter was
in charge of reviewing and printing the budgets and request of student organizations that were presented to the Campus
board at the meetings.

Recommended grade (A-F or pass/fail): Pass

Comments related to recommendation and pass/fail status:

Intern Carter and I work on the same campus, therefore, I have had the opportunity to observe many of the
activities he is involved. He is well on his way to becoming an excellent school leader.
He has already taken and passed his 068 examination and had a leadership interview. Further, he is well
respected by his peers and students. Finally, I would like to say he has demonstrated a firm commitment to
educational excellence.
