SWOT Analysis

Strengths
1. Task Oriented Very mindful of the current task at hand and
prioritize task in order of importance
2. Self-Driven Motivated by my own desires and needs. I do not
depend on others for motivation.
3. Creative- I can usually create imaginative situations or products
that are often very helpful in my daily work and social life.
4. Prepared Have experience in many trades such as sales,
service, and labor and have understood the importance of having
what is needed to be efficient
5. Problem solver This goes along with creative yet I am faced
with obstacles everyday in my work and have to use critical
thinking to overcome these obstacles
6. Passionate I put my heart and soul into everything I do
otherwise I feel that Im wasting my time.
Weaknesses
1. Sensitive to criticism I can give it, but I cant take it.
2. Not patient I try to be as efficient as possible and have a real
hard time waiting for others to complete task
3. Too critical of self Often, I can find myself being too hard on
myself.
4. Too critical of others If others are constantly slacking or making
mistakes, its very difficult for me to be patient and not be
critical of them.
5. Overthink Sometimes I put too much thought into a situation or
event and feel overwhelmed
6. Daydreamer Its easy for me if Im not occupied with a task to
dream about possibilities for the future whether it be related to
my current position or not
Opportunities
1. Job Security I work for a family business and am now a
shareholder of 25% stake in the company.
2. Tremendous growth I have unlimited possibilities with the
position Im in.
3. Benefits Being family owned and being a shareholder Im
allotted free schooling, gas and other perks to the business.
4. Local- being local to the area Im surrounded by family and
friends.
5. Easy schedule I enjoy starting early at 6 and 7 then getting
done at 2 and 3.
6. Change St.George is constantly growing and changing and I
love being a part of it.
Threats
1. Owner The owner (my father) uses his position as leverage
against me in work and social situations (I really struggle with
this)
2. Not respected Many of my employees and peers judge me for
being related to the founder of the company and resent me for
my position.
3. Tied up schedule Though I work easy hours of labor I am
constantly running errands for the company and have a
responsibility to get my degree in business so my spare time is
tied up in school.
4. Boring job My current responsibilities are meager compared to
what they should be and Ive gotten everything I can from my
current position and am often bored out of my mind with the
repetitiveness of my work.
5. Stuck This goes with boring job with how I am stuck in the
current position and have received no indication from my father
of a change in role or position.
6. Dependent on economy- If the economy collapses and
construction comes to a halt my income could essentially
become zero.
