How Will the Stock Market Respond

Post-Elections?
If you look back at historical data, the stock market is usually quiet before and after any elections. Everyone
even foreign investorstakes a wait-and-see attitude.
But historically, count six months after the elections and the market would usually rise. This is caused by
the optimism of a Honeymoon Period with a new President. Of course, on the condition that no horrible thing
happens during the first six months of his or her Presidency. (I need to be gender sensitive, to be totally politically
unbiased.)
How will this affect your investing? I cannot predict what will happen to the country in the short-term. No
one can. The new President can turn out to be fantastic and the market soars. Or the new President can turn out to
be a fool and the market tanks.
If it tanks, it is a buying opportunity.
Obviously, we dont want the second scenario for our country. We hope that the President will turn out to be
great for our country. Im just saying that TrulyRichClub investors are ready for anything. Because of our long-term
view, we will always end up winners no matter what happens.
We will be long-term buyers because we believe in the long-term prosperity of our country. No matter who
we elect. Our demographics (young population entering the work force) is a force that will be very difficult to
stoplong term.

Highlights
After leading initially in the 4th quarter of 2015, the First Metro Save and Learn Equity Funds performance
declined against the PSEi to cap-off the year with -5.30 percent return. This is the third least negative performance
among equity funds behind the index funds.
However, it was the best performing actively-managed fund last year due to its stock selection process even
at the time when the fund was just working around 90 percent equities and 10 percent cash asset combination.
By the end of 2015, on average the fund still had the highest performance variation against the PSEi comparing
to other equity funds, highlighting the fact that its portfolio is not driven by the index and is primarily composed of
stocks that are expected to generate better returns than the performance of the PSEi
In the near-term, the fund plans to focus on stocks which its management believes to have positive prospects
growth and high dividend yield in order to manage risk moving forward. However, with the funds bottom-up
portfolio approach, it will likely continue to perform in a way that is not aligned with the PSEi and be driven more
by the stock selection skill of the fund manager.
