When voltage increases or frequency decreases will cause over
excitation

If voltage reaches to 120%-140% of rated voltage, the excitation

current can reach to 10%-43% of rated current

- CT circuit failure discrimination

CT circuit failure discrimination will be enabled after FD of differential
protection picking up.
Any one of following three criteria is satisfied after FD of percentage
differential protection pickup, CT circuit failure discrimination will not
be carried out.
a) Maximum phase current of one side is lower than 0.2Ie before FD pickup.
When this occurs, only CT circuit failure discrimination of this side will not be
carried out.
b) The maximum phase current is high than 1.2Ie after FD pickup
c) Any phase current of any side after pickup increases than before FD pickup
