Blood and Gore:

In this question I asked a total of 27 people whether or not blood and gore
would be necessary in my horror movie opening. The blue represents 17
people and the red represents 7 people. By looking at the survey it shows
that more people favoured blood and gore in my opening compared to no
blood and gore. I asked this question because I find that too much blood and
gore takes away the classic horror element.

no

Soundtrack:

In this question I asked a total of 24 people whether or not the soundtrack

affected them while watching a movie. The blue represents 22 people and
the red represents 2 people. As you can see, the soundtrack in my opening
would give people more of an experience when watching my opening.
male
female

Gender:

In this question I asked a total of 23 people of what their gender is. The
reason I asked this question was because both genders have different
preferences when it comes to watching a horror movie. From the results,
more females were part of my survey with red representing 14 and blue
representing 9.

yes no

Giving Away the Storyline:

In this question I asked 25 people whether or not the opening should give
away the storyline to the movie. The graph show that the majority voted for
not giving away the storyline. The red represents 16 people and the blue
represents 9 people. The reason I asked this question is because some horror
movies give away the storyline and depending how well its done it can spoil
the movie.
Who would you watch a horror movie with?

alone with friends

with family

Who would you watch it with?

In this question I asked 27 people who they would watch a horror movie with.
The graph shows that people would rather watch horror movies with friends
(red). I knew this would be the most popular answer because my age range
is 13-18 and most people in this demographic are more likely to watch a
horror movie with friends as they can share the experience together.
Setting

house isolated
abandoned

Setting

In this question I asked 27 people what setting they preferred and the results
show that an abandoned location would be the ideal setting for the opening.
Although taking the results into consideration, I decided to use a house for
my opening as it was easily accessible for me compared to using an
abandoned location, which there are hardly any near where I live. Using an
abandoned location would be too time consuming for me to shoot videos
every day and if I needed to reshoot any footage I had to travel about 20
minutes. Whereas if I used my house shooting footage was easy to do and
wouldnt be as time consuming.
