humble, freedom-loving spirit of Ronald Reagan.

Luce Ladies at CPAC
In addition to her work in radio and TV, Monica Crowley is a columnist, blogger, and best-selling author. She earned two masters
degrees and a Ph.D. in international affairs from Columbia University. Monica is an incredibly intelligent and accomplished woman who
persuasively articulates her beliefs, yet most liberals in the media and on college campuses do all they can to silence strong conservative
women like her. That’s why at the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute we are eager to honor leaders like Monica Crowley.
Monica gave an inspiring speech and encouraged the young women in attendance to not back down from their beliefs.
“This luncheon has given me the boost of courage I need to chase my dreams and not back down just because my opinion may not
be the most popular,” said Emily, a freshman at the University of Missouri.
The luncheon was just one of several exciting events hosted by the Institute at this year’s CPAC. The Institute’s booth in the exhibit
hall was constantly abuzz as attendees lined up for calendar signings featuring the women in our 2010 Great American Conservative
Women calendar. Phyllis Schlafly, Fox News commentator S.E. Cupp, and Luce Board Members Kate Obenshain and Marji Ross gave
excellent presentations on a panel discussion called “Going Rogue: Women Changing the Face of Conservatism.” They discussed the
failures of feminism, the need for more conservative women leaders, and how to successfully balance family and career. The room was
overflowing with students and the event was covered in an article on FoxNews.com.
