Writing 2 parts
Part 1: one compulsory report (IELTS Academic) and
one email/letter (General Training)
Part 2: one compulsory essay
At least 400 words in 1 hour
Listening 40 questions and 30 minute audio.
Audio recording played once only
Speaking One examiner and one candidate
Examiner interviews the candidate
16 to 20 minutes

(for comparison/explanation or any other reason) are outdated despite the
fact that they are still available on the Cambridge website. Therefore, please
be careful while giving information regarding CAE.

From 2015, the mark scheme, paper pattern and/or statement of result has
changed. Please notice the main differences, as below:
