ELEMENTARY INTERN, GEARLD WRIGHT ELEMENTARY AUGUST 2016 - PRESENT

I am currently interning in Granite School District. I was placed in the fifth grade and this
internship is giving me the experience I need to be successful throughout the rest of my
teaching career. I am becoming extremely familiar with the Big 8, The Granite Way and other
programs the district uses for student success.

FIRST BAPTIST CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER; MAY 2015 - AUGUST 2016

I coordinated the summer camp at the child care center. I typically supervise 20 children, ages
5-12, up to ten hours a day. This job has allowed me to practice classroom management skills,
curriculum planning, behavior management, communication with parents and Ive worked with
all age groups.

SECRETARY, MERCEDES BENZ OF UTAH; MAY 2014 - AUGUST 2016

In the past two years I have gained professional experience in this position. My daily
responsibilities include running necessary errands for the dealership, answering important
phone calls and assisting the salesmen on car deals.

TEACHING ASSISTANT, BTS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (U OF U) ; AUGUST 2015 - MAY 2016

I assist Sandy Brunvand, MFA, in a workshop for current elementary educators. Throughout the
workshop we work with an average 20 teachers on integrating art into the general classroom.

Ive had the opportunity to work with a seasoned teacher in her 1st and 2nd grade classrooms.
I help assist in reading centers, spelling tests and numerous art projects. I employee classroom
management organization skills on a daily basis.

NEXT STEPS TUTOR, ROSE PARK ELEMENTARY; JANUARY 2015 - APRIL 2015

Over the course of four months I was able to participate in the Next Steps program through the
University of Utah Reading Clinic. I worked with a 2nd grade student twice a week on reading
and comprehension skills. By April, he was reading above grade level.

HIGHER STEPS TUTOR, THE OPEN CLASSROOM; AUGUST 2015 - DECEMBER 2015

Over the course of four months I participated in the Higher Steps program through the
University of Utah Reading Clinic. I worked with a 7th grade student twice a week on reading
and comprehension skills. His reading level was at a 4M and by December he tested into 6E
texts.
