The position serves as the principal and technical person for the (a) formulation and implementation
of remedial management policies and strategies of the Foundation and (b) liquidation and or
activation of impaired accounts for the purpose of channelling them to profitable new investments
and/or reversing their fortunes along the Foundations development interventions as they are
applied to partners.
The technical-managerial function of the position relative to the impaired accounts lies in the
consolidation of the information system in relation to these accounts; review, benchmarking,
designing/redesigning of financial packages (including pricing, fiduciary compliances, etc.); risk
assessment, mitigation and management; remedial management, settlement and collection; and
provide inputs and measures in the management and disposition of real and other properties
acquired so that these can be reflowed back to the endowment.
1. Undertakes the preparation of regular monthly statement of account (SOA) and collection
notices for all accounts and closely coordinates the periodic generation and feedback of
such with the Finance Manager and the Finance Unit;
2. Prepares monthly portfolio monitoring reports with reference to disbursements and
collection/repayment and aging of delinquent accounts, and submits copy of such to the AD-
DS and AD-IS for reporting to the ED and Board;
3. Recommends and implements remedial management actions;
4. Keep an inventory of real properties acquired, collaterals and securities and pending claims
and recommend measures on their disposition and conversion into liquid assets for reflow
to the Foundations endowment.
1. Prepares annual Remedial Accounts performance report that provides technical analysis and
its projection.
2. Participates in periodic and annual assessment and planning of the Institutional Services
Unit.
3. Performs other functions as may be assigned from time to time.
Experience : At least five (5) years experience in development work along PDIME,
particularly along financial and development investment, at least
three (3) years in credit or microfinance management, development
financing programs, micro and small enterprise development &
management, cooperative management, community partnership
engagements, community and development banking, and other related fields

Financial Analysis Skills ability to read financial statements and analyze financial
performance (profit-loss ratios, ROI, etc)
Fund Management and Resource Mobilization Skills - ability to ensure optimal use of
resources (managing sources with fund requirements) and generation of resources through
fund raising strategies
Credit management and delinquency management knowledge of loan processing,
documentation and approval and remedial strategies for delinquent accounts
PDIME Program/project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation skills
Marketing, Business Planning and Management ability to creatively think of profit-making
ventures, linking products to markets and establishing systems and controls
Basic knowledge on environmental management or cleaner production systems and
technologies
Familiar with community development principles and strategies
Research Skills - selecting, developing, and using methodologies such as statistical and data
collection techniques for formal inquiry

Thorough knowledge of the Foundations VMG, MTDP, thrusts, annual objectives, program
mandate and institutional targets and how these can be achieved through sound
development finance system and its management
Good grasp/understanding of 3BL SE standards, levels and development strategies

Records Management - systematic filing, retrieval and maintenance of records/ documents
Financial cost benefit analysis skills assessing alternatives in terms of their financial,
