Recommendations aimed to help you better structure your

project for the Students Scientific Communication Session

A. Formal aspects
Your projects must be written and presented in English.
After being burnt on a CD, the papers must be handed in at this sessions office until the 5th
of April. It is also recommended to include on the CD the Power point presentation in its
final form (.PPT document). Anyhow, we also advise you to take it on a memory stick.
As regards the format, we advise you to respect these instructions:
Standard A4 format, the project should have the upper mirrors of 2.5cm and the
lower ones of 3cm reported to the margins and the header and footer of 1.25cm.
The title of the project should be written on the header of every odd page and the
name of the authors on the header of the even pages.
The project should have 15 to 20 pages in Times New Roman style, 12, spacing
1.5 rows and the text should be Justified aligned.
The titles of the chapters must be written in Bold and must be left aligned.
Subtitles must be written in Italic and should be positioned on a new line, having
a deeper alignment than the other ones.
You should center the text Figure followed by the corresponding number
(1.2etc) under each figure and the text: Table and a title on top of each
table. These texts must be written in Bold. Each table or figure must be explicitly
mentioned in the project.
There should be specified the source (using TNR 10, Left aligned) for each table
or figure used, even if the initial data has been modified.
It is also recommended that the format and the layout of the paper should be made
when opening the project, using the Styles and Formatting submenu from the
Format menu.

B. The structure of the paper

The first page should be the cover and it must look like this:
The second page should contain:
The title (TNR 12, bold, with capital letters, centered)
The author(authors) (TNR 12) mentioning the faculty and the year of study (TNR
12 , Italic)
The summary (max 200 words), TNR 10, italic
Key words (3-5). TNR 10
One should introduce a free line between the summary and the key words.
The JEL code (codes) the project belongs to (you can check this here
http://www.aeaweb.org/journal/jel_class_system.html)
Pages 3 and 4 must contain the presentation of the team and the contribution of each
member to the paper. This should be done as explicit as possible.
The fifth page must contain the Table of contents and must reveal the structure of the project
and the contribution of its authors.
Basically, each project may be structured in different and creative ways1:
Introduction
literature review. (mainstream publications) regarding the subject presented.
This part is realized after going through the main flow of publications (one must
use as much as possible the most recent and relevant publications such as: books
of reference, ISI articles, articles included in international basis also posted on
the internet on our university2 site, British Councils or BCUs site etc.). One
should also include a synthesized presentation of the concepts and theories used.
The RESEARCH METHODOLOGY used- there must be specified the methods
used and the organization for which the research has been done must be
characterized.
The RESULTS obtained and their interpretation in comparison with the results
obtained in similar missions of research and/or the presentation of some case
studies and practical examples internationally identified. This part should also
provide each persons contribution (the case study, the qualitative and quantitative
presentations you have chosen).
It is also recommended that the students come up with a comparison between their
work and similar works done in the same field from the international literature.
Conclusions and proposals-it is recommended to write the conclusions and the
proposals not only at the end of each chapter, but also at the end of your project. It
will do so at a synthetic presentation of the used theories and of the obtained
results by the team, pointing out the elements of novelty and originality brought
by the project.
Bibliography/References.

1 This structure is given only for your orientation. The main structure of the project will reflect the subject chosen
for the project and the original manner in which the author/the team of authors decide to structure the work. We
assure you that we will appreciate the creativity and the originality of each project. And we will take into account
not only the written part, but also the oral presentation.
2 The ASEs library offers you access to the electronic resources such as: electronic book SprigerLink, international
recognized databases: (ProQuest, Jstor, Scopus, ScienceDirect, JAQM Journal).
