Overall Progress
According to the data collected, G.D. is where he should be developmentally as a four-
year-old. He can identify colors, numbers (1-8 and 10-13), count objects, identify upper case
letters and more on an intellectual level. In the social emotional level, G.D. takes turns and
shares the materials with other students. G.D. is consistently polite and courteous to other
children and his teachers. It has been observed, however, that G.D. does not participate in and
enjoy group singing activities or games. As his teachers, we will continue to encourage his
participation. It was also observed that G.D. does not know his home address or phone number.
As parents, if you can please help him on this matter, it can serve as a safety precaution in case of
emergencies.
G.D.s excelling in other levels of development including his work habits, large motor
skills, and language. G.D. follows directions from the teachers, cares for school materials, and
participates in classroom activity. G.D. can run with control over speed and direction, gallop and
skip. His language is also developmentally where it should be as he: speaks clearly and in
complete sentences, takes part in conversations with other children, and clearly expresses his
wants and needs. As his teachers, we will continue working on any developmental domains that
may need improvement. Overall, G.D. is a joy to have in our classroom and we are very proud of
G.D. identifies the colors red, orange, yellow, green , blue, purple, black, white, brown,
gray, and pink. G.D. identifies numbers 1-8 and 10-13, and routes from 1 to 12 but skips to 16.
G.D. identifies geometric shapes including a circle, triangle, heart, star, oval, and
diamond. G.D. can draw the geometric shapes including a circle and square. G.D can recognize
and print his own name, as well as spell his name aloud.

G.D. can draw a person or other recognizable objects. G.D. can identify all visible parts
of the body. G.D. cannot state his own address or phone number. G.D. can state his own birthday.
G.D. can match pictures and shape. G.D. shows a hand preference, which is right. G.D. can
recognize differences in size. G.D. shows an interest in books, and can retell the main ideas of a
story. G.D. can put story cards in a sequence. G.D. can arrange objects in series according to a
pattern. G.D. understands spatial relationships such as behind, beside and under. G.D. recalls
words to songs/chants.
Social Emotional
G.D. shares materials and takes turns. G.D. shows respect and rights of others property.
G.D. keeps his hands to himself. G.D. listens while others are speaking or telling a story. G.D. is
polite and courteous to other children & teachers. G.D. helps classmates clean up when play time
is over. G.D. can attend the bathroom by himself. G.D. makes attempts to put on his own coat,
jacket or sweater. G.D. requires assistance for zipping, snapping and buttoning clothing. G.D.
separates from his parents with ease. G.D. seeks other children to play with. When expressing
anger in words rather than actions, G.D. withdrawals and requires prompting from the teacher.
G.D. smiles and seems happy much of the time. G.D. works and plays cooperatively with other

G.D. expresses ideas with art materials. G.D. does not participate in and enjoy group
singing or games. G.D. does participate in classroom activities. G.D. follows directions from the
teachers. G.D. cares for school materials. G.D. can handle scissors and hold a pencil properly.
G.D. has not yet learned how to trace and cut specific patterns. G.D. can paint and paste neatly.
G.D. is able to complete tasks, and shows interest/attention in classroom activities with an

reminders.
Gross Motor
G.D. can jump on two feet, gallop, and skip. G.D. can hop on one foot more than 6 times.
G.D. throws, catches, and bounce catches a ball. G.D. can catch a ball thrown from 5 feet, and
bend his arms to catch. G.D. is beginning to manipulate balls or similar objects with a full range
of motion. G.D. is starting to coordinate complex movements during play and in games. G.D.
can climb up higher equipment, such as on the playground. G.D. can climb rungs of the
playground slides ladder without assistance. G.D. walks on a balance beam forwards and
backwards.
Fine Motor
G.D. uses refined wrist and finger movements. G.D. holds his drawing and writing tools
using a three-point finger grip, but may hold the writing utensil too close to one end. G.D. uses a
preferred hand (right) for most activities. G.D. can build a tower of approximately nine small
blocks, but can also do so with large blocks. G.D. uses his non-dominant hand to assist and
stabilize objects. G.D. can complete interlocking puzzles that are up to 8-12 pieces.

geometric shapes, and draws the shapes of a circle and square. G.D. can independently attempt to
