Joo Paron Dibari
Semester 1 - Comments:
Joo is a hard-working student who strives to do well in all areas. He tries to listen during class
discussion and follow verbal instructions from the teacher. He personifies commitment and perseveres
despite the challenges. The extra time and practice that he receives with Ms. Kathy, our learning
support teacher, Ms. Gabi, our English for Speakers of Other Languages teacher, his tutor, and parents,
has been very beneficial. I have seen steady steps of progress in Joos reading skills. His responses to
questions show improved comprehension with less prompting needed. Technology has made learning
even more accessible to Joao. He proudly walked with an iPad to record questions others had about the
moon, his chosen informational topic. Having the iPad transcribe voice to text gave him the ability to
focus on the skill of asking questions and not the stress of writing responses. It was encouraging to see
the delightful reactions of adults and students responding to his request, but it was Joos courage and
confidence that impressed me the most. As a result of that experience, Joo now readily volunteers to
use his communication skills to get supplies from special teachers and coaches. These 'walks' are one
way for him to transfer the oral skills he has learned and apply it in a real-life situation. I commend him
for being a risk-taker and giving his best at all times. Joos writing will improve as we continue to help
him with his speaking, reading and vocabulary skills. Similarly, his concepts of mathematics will improve
as he makes meaning of the various vocabulary nd concepts. He is able to compute 2-digit numbers and
identify shapes according to some of their attributes. Joos enthusiasm and spirit of cooperation is a
positive contribution to our classroom environment. Im so proud of you, Joo! Keep up the hard work! Joo Paron Dibari

Joo is a communicator and a confident learner, who is keen on sharing his ideas with the class and
performing to his peers. He understands the concepts but he sometimes struggles to apply them. He
