People can volunteer to work with AIM from 1 day to 15 days, 24-Hoge & Nora Lee Hockensmith-Retired
whatever a person can do. They will need to register to volunteer
at the AIM Website: www.aimky.org. This can be done right up
until the Games begin. They, also, are requesting volunteers to SUPER SATURDAY
provide housing for AIM volunteers and entertainers, one or two August 21, 2010
at a house. They will pay for the housing. Our camp will be Registration at 8 am
housing up to 125 volunteers during the Games. Opening 9am

 NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS
from our CHURCHES - June, 2010
ALLANSVILLE-We had a great time at “Saddle Ridge Ranch” for
VBS in early June.
BEECH GROVE –We had our VBS on June 14-18 with a good
attendance each evening, we all so had 4 children to accept Christ as
their Savior which is all ways a great blessing.
BOONES CREEK-Neighbors to the Nations Sunday Sept. 12th. Guest
Speakers will include Jeremy Haskings from Ashland Ave. Baptist
Church, Dr. David Sells from Southern Seminary and Kevin Whitt form
Harvest Community Church, Eminence, KY
CALVARY –VBS July 18-23, 6-8 pm. Our Young People went on a
Youth Trip Retreat to Gatlinburg, TN , also attended Ichthus in Wilmore,
KY Making plans for our Homecoming.
CENTRAL-We had our VBS at Central during June. On Sunday July
4th we had our God and Country Service and recognized our past and
present members at the armed forces. On Sun. Oct 24 Central will
observe its 100 Anniversary with special service.
CLAY CITY– No report
CORNITH-Recognized the Fathers’ for Father’s Day, gave
special cups with other items. Had a time of Fellowship for July
4th.
COW CREEK-Enjoyed a great VBS. Homecoming August 22.

CREEKSIDE-No Report
EMMANUEL-Our WMU donated supplies for the needy to
Community Services such as detergent and toilet paper, which
are not covered by food stamps. We sent in education labels to
Oneida Baptist Institute for the year, and will continue collecting
for them. Our church is sponsoring 9 children for Boone’s Creek
Baptist Camp this year.
EPHESUS-Bro Todd served as camp pastor July 12-16.
Community outreach July 17. Youth pool party July 24. VBS
July 25-30. Youth-led morning worship service August 8.
Ordination service for Bro. Timothy Christopher will be in the
afternoon of August 8 (he will be leaving for a 3-month mission
trip to Turkey at the end of August). Youth bake sake at
Winchester Wal-Mart is Saturday Aug. 21.
FAITH– No Report
FRIENDSHIP-Congregation selected 2 new deacons. Church
gave Bibles to all grads. VBS 13-16. Ordination of Deacons on
July 11, 4 pm, will have fellowship dinner and singing.
GREENBRIAR-No Report
HEIDELBERG-No Report
HERITAGE-George and Cathy Chinn spoke at Missions
Freedom fest about their upcoming work at the World Equestrian
Games. There was great food and fireworks and funds raised for
Missions. And great sendoff for Youth going to Centrifuge at
Ridgecrest. Upcoming VBS July 18-22 at 6-8:30 pm Fifth
Anniversary Celebration-Sept. 12.
HOWARDS MILL-Howard’s Mill Baptist Church paid all
expenses and camp fees for all youth wanted to attend Boones
Creek Camp.
IRVINE FIRST-Father’s Day was celebrated by recognizing all
of the fathers in attendance. Each one present received a key
chain and a pen. A patriotic cantata -”There is Freedom Here”,
directed and accompanied by Jeremie Michael was presented by
the choir. Dwain Riddell’s slide presentation accompanied the
cantata making it more meaningful. Thanks to Dwain and
Jeremie for their hard work! A picnic followed the worship hour
with lots of great food (as always) A black metal roof and white
vinyl trim and guttering have been added and or completed on
our church building. R.W. Rose, one of our members, and his
crew were over this project. We have one of the most beautiful
buildings in the area. As Bro. Lloyd Mahanes always noted, “It
has so much charter.”
IVORY HILL-We had our VBS June 13-18 with an average
attendence of 67. Instead of having a commencement service the
last night, we had a family fun night for the VBS and their families
at Boones Creek Camp. We had approx. attendance of 58.
JEFFERSONVILLE-VBS, Building Pavilion, Landscaping.
Aug. 1st 2010 Jubilee Road to sing at Morning Service.
KIDDVILLE-No Report
MACEDONIA-Youth took a trip to the Creation Museum on June
19th. We had a great VBS. Our total enrollment was 124. We had
one decision for Christ. Bro Kevin going on vacation. Some of the
men of the church will be preaching.
MEANS-Held a week of prayer and fasting for Revival in our
Church, our Community, our Association, our Convention, our
Nation, and our World.
MT. OLIVE-No Report
NEW HOPE-Good Preaching. Revival and Homecoming in Sept.
9th-12th.
NORTHSIDE-We had a good VBS, our attendance was around
100. The Church is buying a new Computer, and getting a new
sign to be put in front of the Church. God id so Good-Our youth
class was one of the largest 20-27 in attendance. The baby bottle
blessing offering is running from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day
with lots of bottles filled for the Teenage Pregnancy Center.
Father’s Day we were blessed with a large attendance. 14
graduates were recognized with each receiving a Bible. Our Youth
Teaches planned a Natural Bridge picnic with over 50 hot and
hungry hikers, swimmers, sitters and boaters attending. The
Church sponsors all children attending camp. This year 12
received a blessing by braving the heat and heading to camp.
PANOLA-Our new sign came in quick. Men working to get it up.
Working on Sept 26th Homecoming.
POWELLS VALLEY-We had a congregational hymn sing on
June 6th, Evening Service. We averaged 76 nightly during our
VBS June 21-25.
PROVIDENCE C.C.-13 Youth & Chaperon’s attended Ichthus
Festival. VBS July 18-22, 6:00-8:30 pm
PROVIDENCE, E.C.-VBS scheduled for July and last night
Bible School we will be giving our school supplies. We will soon
by making plans for homecoming.
REID VILLAGE-We had a birthday party June 2nd for our oldest
member, Rose Stull who turned 98. She had a great time and
enjoyed seeing everyone. Rose is a Charter Member of our
Church. We are getting ready for VBS July 19th –23rd.
Commencement and cook out will be Sat. the 24th. Father’s Day,
we recognized all Fathers in the Morning Service. A gift was
given to the youngest, oldest and the Father with the most children
present. We have visitation every Thurs. night.
SALEM-Had a great VBS. enrolled 97, averaged 73, nightly, had
5 decisions.
SPRING STREET-VBS attendance avg. 60
SPEARS MILL-Having VBS July 18-22.
THOMAS-33 students attended VBS. Our youth group have a zoo
trip planned for Sat. July 31st. Homecoming scheduled for
Sunday, Sept. 5th.
VALLEY VIEW-No Report
WILLIAMS MEMORIAL-We had an excellent VBS with one
profession of Faith followed by Baptism. We are looking forward
to a new Church year.
