Psalms 115

115 Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto Thy name give glory, for Thy
mercy, and for Thy truths sake. 2 Wherefore should the nations say: Where is
now their God? 3 But our God is in the heavens; whatsoever pleased Him He
hath done. 4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of mens hands. 5 They have
mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not; 6 They have ears,
but they hear not; noses have they, but they smell not; 7 They have hands, but
they handle not; feet have they, but they walk not; neither speak they with their
throat. 8 They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that
trusteth in them.
Repent in humble access to the LORD where Idols are dead
9
O Israel, trust thou in the Lord! He is their help and their shield! 10 O house of
Aaron, trust ye in the Lord! He is their help and their shield! 11 Ye that fear the
Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. 12 The Lord hath been
mindful of us, He will blessHe will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the
house of Aaron. 13 He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great. 14
The Lord increase you more and more, you and your children. 15 Blessed be ye of
the Lord who made heaven and earth. 16 The heavens are the heavens of the
Lord; but the earth hath He given to the children of men. 17 The dead praise not
the Lord, neither any that go down into silence; 18 But we will bless the Lord from
this time forth and forever. Hallelujah.1
Song of Song 7:10-8:4
10
And the roof of thy mouth like the best wine, that glideth down smoothly for
my beloved, moving gently the lips of those that are asleep.
11
I am my beloveds, and his desire is toward me. 12 Come, my beloved, let us go
forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. 13 Let us get up early to the
vineyards; let us see whether the vine hath budded, whether the vine-blossom
be opened, and the pomegranates be in flower; there will I give thee my love. 14
The mandrakes give forth fragrance, and at our doors are all manner of precious
fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved.
8 Oh that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! When I
should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, and none would despise me. 2 I
would lead thee, and bring thee into my mothers house, that thou mightest
instruct me; I would cause thee to drink of spiced wine, of the juice of my
pomegranate. 3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should
embrace me. 4 I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem: Why should ye awaken,
or stir up love, until it please? 2

41
Just then there came a man named Jairus, a leader of the synagogue. He fell at
Jesus feet and begged him to come to his house, 42 for he had an only daughter,
about twelve years old, who was dying.
As he went, the crowds pressed in on him. 43 Now there was a woman who had
been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years; and though she had spent all
she had on physicians, l no one could cure her. 44 She came up behind him and
touched the fringe of his clothes, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped.
45
Then Jesus asked, Who touched me? When all denied it, Peter m said, Master,
the crowds surround you and press in on you. 46 But Jesus said, Someone
touched me; for I noticed that power had gone out from me. 47 When the woman
saw that she could not remain hidden, she came trembling; and falling down
before him, she declared in the presence of all the people why she had touched
him, and how she had been immediately healed. 48 He said to her, Daughter,
your faith has made you well; go in peace.
49
While he was still speaking, someone came from the leaders house to say,
Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the teacher any longer. 50 When Jesus
heard this, he replied, Do not fear. Only believe, and she will be saved. 51 When
he came to the house, he did not allow anyone to enter with him, except Peter,
John, and James, and the childs father and mother. 52 They were all weeping and
wailing for her; but he said, Do not weep; for she is not dead but sleeping.
53
And they laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the
hand and called out, Child, get up! 55 Her spirit returned, and she got up at
once. Then he directed them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were
astounded; but he ordered them to tell no one what had happened. 3
