Dharma To know Brahman in life time.

Jnanam The knowledge about Brahman

Vairagyam- Firmness that everything is Brahman

Aiswaryam Brahman is wealth.

Adharma Indulging in worldly activities and not knowing Brahman in life time.

Ajnanam The knowledge about world and not knowing Brahman.

Avairagyam- Taking the world to be real.

Anaiswaryam World and worldly pleasures.

The dharma what I knew was only about worldly affairs. But world itself is
illusion. Hence unable to see any dharma here. Dharmam, Jnanam, Vairagyam,
Aiswaryam all these are derived from Brahman.

But these are mixed up with maya and we are searching within maya for all
these.

Maya = Gunas. Name, form etc are also nothing but properties. To whom these
properties belong to? Not to soul. Remove properties, you can realize soul is
what Upanishad say. Once properties are removed, is there an act of seeing? See
what? Who sees? Gunas cannot be stopped or removed. Then What this
sentence means?

It shows only one. Whatever happens within body or outside of the body
including the world are only gunas.

What can be death?

There is the spirit. It is Atman. Whether there is anything beyond spirit can never
be known by anybody. Whatever is known to intelligence is made known by spirit
only.

The knowing is facilitated by sense organs, captured by mind and stored as

intelligence. All this happens within the framework of spirit and spiritual energy.
This is due to the simple reason that physical energy as such is devoid of any
intelligence.

What happens when the sense organs are switched off? Mind starts playback of
recorded experiences from its own records, project a world of its own and lives
in it. This is dream.

Now, let us consider the knowledge. Let me take any knowledge. In the outside
world, there are the fundamental forces. All are physical forces. Shape
(Reflected light is read by mind as shape), Sound (Puffs of waves received in ear
drum ) etc, are not inherent in any physical force.
Physical forces per se do not have any inherent properties. There are physical
forces and these forces are read as shape, sound, touch etc by mind alone. The
sense organs are only receivers and do not have any intelligence. It is only when
connected to mind, the organs acquire this capability.

The senses captured are deciphered to be such and such by Intelligence.

What kind of knowledge is acquired by intelligence? Ultimately they have to do

with the kind of classification like Happiness, Sadness or Neuter.

Where from this happiness, sadness or neutral arise? Who feels to be happy, sad
etc?

Happiness, Sadness or neutrality are known. If something is known, the knower

must be different from known. Who is the knower?

Does a waking state required to feel all these happiness etc? Not necessary
because dreams also provide such happiness.

Does dream require the contact with this body? No. In dreams we do not have
contact with body. Mind creates the required world.

Is death the extinguishing of mind? Does the mind close the shop? No. If it is so,
we will never return from deep sleep.

The only difference between deep sleep and death is as follows.

From deep sleep, we return to the body and wake up from the same body.

In death, we do not return back to the body.

There is no place to go. What can happen in death? We remain as such, having
lost the contact with the body. That is all.

There is no day, no night. Except God there is nothing.

What is Universe?

Soul Common to all.

Mind of God

Individual Minds (Jeevan) All Gods own

living creatures having a mind

Physical Physical Forces

Universe
Physical Universe Waves appear as Universe.

Experiences or life of individual Interaction of individual mind with waves

Luxury Interaction of one individual with another

Why do the waves appear or present themselves as world and cheat me?

They do not present themselves or cheat. They are simply there. Mind is unable
to comprehend that they are waves. This is because mind takes the sense organs
to be all powerful. It is the belief or trust I put in my sense organs that cheats
me. The spending of prana to activate the organs, the effort put in makes the
mind to take for granted that the organs clearly visualize truth. The shape that is
not there is seen to be there because my eyes.

Mind is also gunas.

The interaction of gunas is what we call as universe and life.

The act of living is due to rajo guna called prana.

The experience of outside world is thamo guna.

The thinking and realization are due to satva guna.

If everything is God, then what about gunas? Where from they originate?

The three gunas are called maya. Maya, avidya, jeevan, mind, antahkarana,
Intelligence, Ego, Memory, avarana, vikshepa, sukshma, gross, astral, subtle, the
waking, dreaming and deep sleep all point out to one single thing called nature
or prakriti. The difference is in the different modes of prakriti. As far as prakriti is
concerned, it is one single entity. It is actually nirguna or devoid of any guna.
When this realization comes, one is unable to see any outside world and there is
a voidity outside. Only the seer called soul is present. There is no seen or objects
called universe.

When I search for the gunas, I end up with voids. When I search for God the
same thing happens.

This is the great void that appears as world to me and make me happy or sad.

There is no such thing called prakriti, an existing entity. Waves appear as prakriti.
When waves subside there is only clear water. Unlike waves in ocean, these
waves happen within me.

After waves subside, there is no way to find out where from these waves
originated.

Soul - Waves acting as mind -> Waves acting as sensation -- Waves

acting as universe.

Who am I? Wave or Soul?

What is life?

It is an attempt to seek pleasure.

Depending on the mindset, the source of pleasure may be in outside objects,

mental or intelligence.

For seeking pleasure in outside objects, body is required and to maintain body
prana is required.

For seeking pleasure in mind or intelligence, both body and prana are not
required.

In both cases, the mind acts as the seer or I.

In waking state, pleasure is from the combination of body and mind.

In dreams, the pleasure is purely mental.

In deep sleep, there is no pleasure known at the time of deep sleep but inferred
by the memory which comes on waking after sleep.

Who is the seeker of pleasure? It is me, this little I.

From where pleasure come? From preservation of outside world or mental world
created during dream or from dissolution of the mental and physical world during
sleep.

I am Vishnu in waking, Brahma during dream and Shiva during deep sleep. This
is what this little I is.

The person, the seeker of pleasure is Vishnu in waking and outside world is
Lakshmi.

The person, the seeker of pleasure is Brahma during dream and mental world
created in dream is Sarasvathi.

The person, the seeker of pleasure is Shiva during deep sleep and this deep
sleep is Parvathi.

What is this little I made of? They also should be mental Waves only.

This jeevan is a wave. It tries to get happiness. So jeevan can be aptly described
as pleasure seeking waves. The contact with physical world, mental world, and
cutting off these connection all yield pleasure.

Cutting off the connection by natural process called sleep, even though produces
pleasure, is time bound and is not a direct experience. It is indirect experience.

Cutting off the connection by clear understanding and faith in this produces
eternal direct experience of pleasure and is Narayana.
I have completely forgotten the pleasure that can come from Narayana and
searching in vain in outside world. From Narayana only unlimited pleasure can
come whereas the outside world gives very little pleasure and invariably
accompanied by pain.

The only purpose of living, as per Vedanta is attaining self realization.

What about the world? Will it function if we do not pay attention to it?

The world, the functioning etc are all relative and maya. Actually there is no
world. Only the Soul is there which is called as Narayana, Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva,
Indra, Deva etc. All these refer to soul even though appear to be functionally
attached to different minds and different nature. The point is when I say I am
Vishnu, the I denoted the soul and not the body-mind complex.

The seer is soul, the hearer is soul is mentioned in narayana suktham. Is soul the
seer or hearer?

No. With the power derived from soul, mind sees and hears. Without the
consciousness, hearing or seeing is not possible. Similarly for eating also. Even
though eating arises due to hunger, and the food is digested giving rise to mind
etc are all due to work of prana, it is simply assigned to Soul. Because without
soul, prana cannot act independently and hence this is assigned to soul. In
reality, prana eats.

How about the five gross elements? Do they act without consciousness? No.
There is no way to determine whether they act or not. To determine this,
consciousness is required.

So the five sheaths can be described as follows.

With the power derived from Soul, anandamaya kosha works and becomes aware
of happiness, misery etc.

With the power derived from Soul, vijnanamaya kosha works and becomes aware
of the science of the world, determines truth and keeps memory.

With the power derived from Soul, manomaya kosha works and derives the I
feeling, and desires arise.

With the power derived from Soul, Pranamaya kosha works and energizes the
body to act.

With the power derived from Soul, annamaya kosha works.

Soul Provides consciousness and remain as

witness
Soul + Anandamaya kosha Jeevan, seeker of pleasure, Karma
Soul + Anandamaya kosha+ Intelligent being endowed with
Vijnanamaya kosha memory, Deciphers sensory
perception, Thinking
Soul + Anandamaya kosha+ Desires, activates prana
Vijnanamaya kosha + Manomaya kosha
Soul + Anandamaya kosha+ Directs body, maintain bodily
Vijnanamaya kosha + Manomaya kosha functions.
+ Pranamaya Kosha
Soul + Anandamaya kosha+ Fully developed beings, interacts with
Vijnanamaya kosha + Manomaya kosha world.
+ Pranamaya Kosha + Annamaya kosha

Without soul, the other functions are inactive and koshas are inert.

(What is avidya or maya? priyam, modha, pramodha, ananda Love, joy, delight,
bliss produces avidya. There are 3 gunas. The first and foremost is love. Love is a
feeling embedded always in consciousness. )

Why there is maya or avidya? Maya seems to be visible until one realizes atman.
When the realization comes the maya is no more visible and hence we cannot
pin pointedly say why or where from this maya came. It simply vanishes.

This is like searching for darkness with the help of light. Once lights are on, the
darkness disappears. No one can find darkness with the help of light.

Kuladeivam. Who is my kula deivam? Does family deity be a deity of violence

only? Should it be from North India or Himalaya only?

Let me think about karma, etc and the role of individual experiences along with
the mercy of God.

Do God really grant a boon like making me a millionaire over night?

Can God bye pass the karma and grant a boon?

If I get a boon, is it because of my karma?

In a competitive atmosphere, can God favour one neglecting the rest?

Is there truth?

Was shiva wrong when he asked me to worship kali as lakshmi?

Was I wrong when I prayed in Narthamalai as Lakshmi?

Is the world only sorrows and no happiness will come from world?
