Activity Using the app 30Hands, students will retell the story
of their assigned book. They will be required to have
three pictures. One picture to depict what happen in
the beginning, another picture that depicts what
happen in the middle, and a third picture that
depicts what happen at the end. Along with the
pictures, students will record themselves telling
what happen in each part of the story. Students
must retell each part of the story by saying: In the

In groups of three, students will use the app
Mindomo to create a mind map. Before developing
a mind map, students will chat using the comments
tools. In the comment box, students will develop a
research topic. They will also, discuss questions
about their topic, which should include the 5 ws
(who, what, when, where, why) and how. After
developing a topic and questions, students will
compose research. The topic, research questions,
mind map. For citation, students must state what
type of source they are using, the name of the
source, author, and publication date of source, if
applicable.

students, will draw what happen in the beginning of
the story. Then, using the camera feature on
30Hands, the teacher will take a picture of the
drawing. After taking the picture, the teacher will
record the students collectively saying what happen
in the beginning of the story. Next using the drawing
tool in 30Hands, the teacher will ask the students to
help her draw what happen in the middle of the
story. After drawing the picture, the teacher will
record the students collectively saying what happen
in the middle of the story. Lastly, the teacher will ask
students what happen at the end of the story. She
will then show students how to search for a picture
that depicts the last scene using the from web
feature in 30Hands. After searching for a picture on
web, the teacher will record the students collectively
saying what happen at the end of the story. After
completion of the class story, students will begin
retelling their book using 30hands.
Technology The students will use the app 30Hands, which can be

found in iTunes app store.
Before students begin the activity, the teacher and
students will collectively create a mind map using
Mindomo. The teacher will give student an access
code to join Mindomo. The teacher will ask students
to type a topic onto the Mindomo. Using one of the
topics, the teacher will demonstrate to students
where the title of the topic should be inserted on
Mindomo. The teacher will then ask students to
come up with questions about the topic using the 5
ws and h and type them into the Mindomo. Then
the teacher will choose one of the questions to
research. The teacher will show students how to
properly cite an online and print source.
After completion of the class mind map, the teacher
will assign a student in each group to create a group
on Mindomo. To create the group, the student must
log into their Mindomo, using their created
username and password by teacher. Once logged in,
the student needs to click on group research
assignment. Once the student clicks on the
assignment, a screen will come up that says, This is
a group assignment. The student must then type in
his or her group member names and select create a
new group. After the student creates the group, the
other group members can precede to login to their
Mindomo account. Once they click on start
assignment, group names will appear. Students
must click the group where their name appears.
The students will use the app Mindomo, which can
be found in the iTunes app store or Google Play.
