OUTLINE OF BRIEF:
To create a Magazine cover, Teaser and Final Poster for a film named Plague; well have to create
these productions with our best abilities and to a professional standard meeting the constraints.

Brief outline of magazine

The film is based in London which has been infected by rats, where only one girl survives. She battles
her way through the infected people and rats to find others who may have survived and seeks refuge.

SCHEDULE

I have planned out my own three week schedule; It consists of the planning for my final ideas of each
production and the drafts of how I plan on designing the Magazine cover along with the two posters.
This would allow me to finish my work on time as well as allowing me to make any changes towards my
work. The post-production that will be taking place is required since it will enable me to improve and
finalize everything.

Canon Source- this will be provided by the college

camera meaning no expenses would be made.

Use- I will need a camera to take images for

my magazine.

Photoshop Source- the programme is already installed

into the mac computers therefore I dont
need to download/purchased this feature.

Use- I will need this to manipulate my images

up to a professional standard for my
magazine cover and article.

Apple Mac computer Source- there is a diverse of apple mac

computers in the media room for me to
choose from.

Use- this is very important since I will be using

the computers to store all my work, primarily
final creations plus Adobe Photoshop will also
be used on this.

Evaluating Source- the sheet will be supplied by the

sheet & pens teacher, and I would need to purchase a pen.

Use- I need the sheet to find out what I needs

to be improved in order to gain a higher
grade, plus I will be evaluating other students
magazines in class.

Photography studio Source- the equipment is already provided by

the school; therefore, no expenses would be
made.

Use- this is where I will be taking my images

for my magazine.

COST

If any students damages the equipment provided by the school then the person responsible
would have to pay it back.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The basis of British health and safety law is the Health and Safety at Work (Act 1974, the Act sets
out the general duties which employers have towards employees and members of the public, and
employees have to themselves and to each other. I would need to should ensure that the people
Im going to be working with and for them are not exposed to risks to their health and safety. I will
need to work out how people could be harmed, decide who might be harmed and how; it will help
them identify the best way of managing the risk. The Management of Health and Safety at Work
Regulations 1999 (the Management Regulations) generally make more explicit what employers
are required to do to manage health and safety under the Health and Safety at Work. Before
taking any images in the studio I will have to ensure that its safe, I should have at least one
experienced member of the crew who is aware of health and safety issue. The main requirement
on the filming crew is to carry out a risk assessment; this allows the crew to identify the
hazards/risks before filming.

CODES OF PRACTICE & REGULATION

Copyright is a legal means of protecting an author's work. It is a type of intellectual property that
provides exclusive publication, distribution, and usage rights for the author. This means whatever
content the author created cannot be used or published by anyone else without the consent of
the author. Copyright holders have the right to seek damages against those who violate their
rights in the form of a civil lawsuit. Those found guilty of infringement may be fined damages as
well as fined for legal fees. I have to ensure that I will have permission by reaching out to the
copyright holders asking if i can have their consent to copy their images. Content clearances are
anything that appears in my production needs to be cleared. This includes: products, logos &
brand names & images; font, text & designs; famous works & people. Since I am going to be using
text from the 100 fonts website for the introduction of my productions plus images from the

internet, I would have to email the administrators of the site directly asking permission if I am
able to use it for my school work.
