If there is anyone historical figure I would meet, hands down it would be President

Theodore Roosevelt. Quite simply, he was one of the most successful, honest, civil, and overall

best presidents to have ever graced the position. As president he helped to establish the national

parks system, and spearheaded many of the modern sporting and conservation traditions that

American sportsmen and women hold dear through their sport.

Roosevelt also led the fight to split many of the large trusts and monopoly that had

plagued the United States and allowed for a purer and more socially beneficial form of

capitalism to reestablish itself, just in time for the First World War, posing American industry to

take its place as the most powerful in the world. Roosevelts foreign policy, while admittedly that

of an Imperialist, was one that helped to put America in the position as a very powerful nation

that commanded respect from its neighbors. Overall Roosevelt was a rare combination of a

principled politician who fought to root out corruption, a moderate who had the ability to see

both sides of the political spectrum and work between both interests to effectively advance the

interests of the nation as a whole.

If I could talk to him Id ask him about his views on the state of the nation now days, and

how we could solve many of the issues that we have nowadays. In addition Id talk to him about
the stories hed inevitably have from the massive amounts of adventures hes bound to have. Just

to imagine what could be learned from such a great man is truly mind boggling.
