Objectives (Explicit):

Essential Question: How does gender stereotypes affect our


perception of everyday activities?

Objective: Students will exercise their ability to develop an eye for


recognizing gender issues in media through ads.

Evidence of Mastery (): Students will be able to point out gender


stereotypes in multiple different television ads, and will write the
difference between a male and female gender stereotype.

Sub-objectives, SWBAT (Sequenced from basic to complex):

Students will be able to determine what the different types of


gender stereotypes are within a novel/movie.
