Reflection: (What have you learned about your students? How will this inform future instruction?)

The students seemed to really enjoy the seed sorting lesson. They enjoyed the book and were engaged in the questions I asked about seeds. Most of the students
chose to sort the seeds by size or by the type of seeds. Most of the students did well and picked up the concept of sorting while a few of the younger students
needed more guiding until they figured it out. Something I would have done differently would be to give the students their own pile of seeds to sort instead of
having them sort in groups. However, I did leave the seeds out for the students to play with during centers. Something I learned about the students is that they like
reading books about the topic or discussing the topic before going into the activity. This will inform future instruction by having more discussions and using books
and other materials to engage them with the activity.
