Classroom Support
I encourage parents to volunteer in my
classroom. My classroom has an open
door policy. Parents are welcome to
read to students in any language. We
offer parent workshops in their native
language to help support their student.
Student Achievement
When parent and teachers work
together all student benefit from it.
Parents are a welt of knowledge about
their students which is very beneficial
for the teacher to help teacher her
students.
About Me
Im the product of immigrant parents
who came to the United stated from
Mexico. My parents never learned to
speak English but they were always
afraid of getting involved because
they didnt speak the language. My
Parents always felt they were not
respect at school. I understand some
of the struggles that my students
parents face every day. I grew up in
a rough neighborhood with violence
all around. I attended CSUN and
became a special education to help
student with special needs. I believe
that my experiences will help me
reach out to my parents. I like to
encourage my students parents to
be involve because I learn have much
to learn from their funds of
knowledge.
