Music Magazine Proposal

OUTLINE OF BRIEF:
For this unit we needed to plan and produce a music magazine of a genre of our
life

1 Research music magazines and analyse the Computer with
key features of it. Microsoft word.

2 Make a practice front cover so we have a photoshop

rough idea of the layout.

3 Take pictures for the magazine cover. camera

4 Organize and layout the magazine cover. photoshop

5 Take a look at a content page so we have a computer

rough idea of the way our page numbers
and information should layout and then
plan our own.
6 Once you are happy with your plan and photoshop
know the content in the magazine organize
it onto the content page.

7 Take a look at a feature article and plan the Computer

layout of the page, where the text is going
to be placed. Plan what your article is going
to be about.
8 Write up the article and give it in to be Photoshop / camera
proof read, then edit it. Take pictures for the
article page.

9 Layout your page in the design you planned Photoshop

or if you have added adjustments then use
them.

10 Make sure all of the pages are the way you photoshop
would like them to be.

EQUIPMENT & FACILITIES
To carry out the whole production task we will need some equipment.

A Camera Source- I have a Fujifilm

camera that I will be
using there will therefore
be no cost.

Use- The camera is

needed to take pictures
for the magazine cover.
Photoshop Source- Photoshop is
already installed to the
computers.

Use- I will need

Photoshop to edit my
images onto my
magazine cover.
Photography Studio/ Room Source- We are able to
use the photography
equipment that the
school has.

Use- To take pictures for

our cover image in.

Computer Source- The School has

computer rooms with
computers and
Photoshop installed on
them.

Use- We need the

computers to access
photoshop to edit our
magazine.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The basis of British health and safety law is the Health and Safety at Work (Act 1974, the Act
sets out the general duties which employers have towards employees and members of the
public, and employees have to themselves and to each other. I would need to should ensure
that the people Im going to be working with and for them are not exposed to risks to their
health and safety. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (the
Management Regulations) generally make more explicit what employers are required to do to
manage health and safety under the Health and Safety at Work. Before taking any images in
the studio I will have to ensure that its safe, I should have at least one experienced member
of the crew who is aware of health and safety issue. The main requirement on the
photography crew is to carry out a risk assessment; this allows the crew to identify the
hazards/risks before taking my pictures.

CODES OF PRACTICE & REGULATION

Copyright is a legal means of protecting an author's work. It is a type of intellectual property

that provides exclusive publication, distribution, and usage rights for the author. This means
whatever content the author created cannot be used or published by anyone else without the
consent of the author. Copyright holders have the right to seek damages against those who
violate their rights in the form of a civil lawsuit. Those found guilty of infringement may be
fined damages as well as fined for legal fees. I have to ensure that I will have permission by
reaching out to the copyright holders asking if I can have their consent to copy their images if
I was to publish it. Since I am going to be using text from the Dafonts website for the
introduction of my productions plus images from the internet, I would have to email the
administrators of the site directly asking permission about using their images.
