Retributive justice is a theory of justice which holds that the best response to a

crime is a proportionate punishment, inflicted for its own sake rather than to
serve an extrinsic social purpose, such as deterrence or rehabilitation of the offender.
Retributivists hold that when an offender breaks the law, justice requires that
the criminal suffer in return. They maintain that retribution differs from
revenge, in that retributive justice is only directed at wrongs, has inherent
limits, is not personal, involves no pleasure at the suffering of others and
employs procedural standards.
Death penalty was the main push of the first bill filed in the 17th Congress under the
Duterte administration.
Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Bebot Alvarez, President Rodrigo Dutertes pick
to be the next Speaker, filed a bill seeking to reinstate death penalty on heinous
crimes
because the national crime rate has grown to such alarming proportions requiring an
all-out offensive against all forms of felonious acts.

Capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, is a government sanctioned

practice whereby a person is put to death by the state as a punishment for a crime.
The sentence that someone be punished in such a manner is referred to as a death
sentence, whereas the act of carrying out the sentence is known as an execution.
Crimes that are punishable by death are known as capital crimes or capital offences,
and commonly include offences such as murder, treason, espionage, war crimes, crimes
against humanity and genocide. The term capital is derived from the Latin capitalis ("of
the head", referring to execution by beheading).[1]

Naniniwala ako dun na hindi 'yun aksidente kundi talagang sinadya... Dahil
dun, naniniwala ako na buhay din ng taong kumuha ng buhay ng isang tao
ang kabayaran. 'Pag murder, oo [ako sa death penalty]," said Hannah.
(I believe that's no accident but really intentional... Because of that, I
believe the life of a person who took away the life of another is the proper
payment for the crime. If it's murder, I support the death penalty.)

So I ask again, if we do not do anything and just maintain the status quo,
can we expect change? Sa madaling salita, wala tayong maaasahang
pagbabago kung mananatili tayong walang ginagawang aksyon sa
kasalukuyang sistemang panghustisya sa ating bansa (In other words, we
cannot expect change if we continue doing nothing regarding our
country's criminal justice system)," he said.
krimen," said Castro.

(The bill seeking to revive the death penalty will fight crimes that are
grave and hateful. This measure, if passed into law, will be a shield of the
citizenry and the State against crimes and criminals, so the public can be
protected from heinous crimes.)

Ang panukalang batas ay hindi kalaban ng buhay. Ang panukalang batas

ay tagapagtanggol ng buhay, buhay man ng inosente o salarin," he added.

(This bill is not an enemy of life. This bill is the protector of life that of the
innocent or the culprit.)

Social responsibility is an ethical framework and suggests that an entity, be it an
organization or individual, has an obligation to act for the benefit of society at large.Social
responsibility is a duty every individual has to perform so as to maintain a balance
between the economy and the ecosystems.
The benefits of education to both children and broader society could
not be clearer. Education can break generational cycles of poverty by
enabling children to gain the life skills and knowledge needed to cope
with todays challenges. Education is strongly linked to concrete
improvements in health and nutrition, improving childrens very
chances for survival. Education empowers children to be full and
active participants in society, able to exercise their rights and engage
in civil and political life. Education is also a powerful protection factor:
children who are in school are less likely to come into conflict with the
law and much less vulnerable to rampant forms of child exploitation,
including child labor, trafficking, and recruitment into armed groups
and forces.

: The only good reason to restrict individual liberty is to prevent harm to others. (Mill: "the sole
end for which mankind are warranted, individually or collectively, in interfering with the liberty of
action of any of their number is self-protection.") Version 2: The only good reason to restrict
individual liberty is that the individual conduct that it is proposed to restrict causes or threatens to
cause harm to others.
