Daily Promises of God

for educators
2nd Timothy 2:11-13
NIV - Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him;
if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are
faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.

RSV - The saying is sure: If we have died with him, we shall also live with him; if we endure,
we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us; if we are faithless, he
remains faithfulfor he cannot deny himself.

KJV - It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we
suer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet
he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

LB - I am comforted by this truth, that when we suer and die for Christ it only means that we
will begin living with him in heaven. And if we think that our present service for him is hard,
just remember that some day we are going to sit with him and rule with him. But if we give up
when we suer, and turn against Christ, then he must turn against us. Even when we are too

weak to have any faith leH, he remains faithful to us and will help us, for he cannot disown us
who are part of himself, and he will always carry out his promises to us.

Note to the educator

Our faithful Lord is with you always. He will be faithful even and especially when we are
weak for He cannot disown His own. This is security. This is hope. This is His promise
throughout the Word. We are a blessed people raised up to bless others. Who have you
blessed today? A blessing can be an outreach of any type. It can be a sweet smile to a

colleague who is burdened. It can be a hand-wriDen note sent home just because.
Blessings are beauIful. We bless others because He has blessed us rst.

Reect upon your present blessings - of which every man has many - not on your past misfortunes,
