1. Was the attention grabber effective? Why?

2. In what order did the speaker organise his/her speech? Why do you say so?
3. What was the speakers specific purpose statement?
4. What did the speaker do or say to establish his/her credibility?
5. Did the speaker include all relevant points? Would you have included other points? If
YES, what would they have been?
6. Comment on the speakers gestures, facial expression, eye contact, etc.
7. Discuss the speakers intonation, fluency, pronunciation, articulation and enunciation.
8. Evaluate the speakers use of vocal variety - volume, rate, pitch and use of pauses.
9. Did you find the visual aids effective? What other types of visual aids could the
speaker have used to make the speech more effective?
10. Comment on the choice of colours, type of font, font size, visual aids, etc.
11. Comment on the language used by the speaker grammatical accuracy, appropriate
choice of words, sentence structure and connectives.
12. Discuss whether the speaker effectively concluded her speech.
