2. Pemisahan ruang di well tujuannya :
1. Melindungi casing dr P tinggi baik dari well atau injeksi
dan fluida penyebab karat
2. Isolasi thd bocor yg ada di casing, perforasi yg di
squezed atau interval produksi yg lebih dari Satu
3. Menghilangkan efek heading & surging gas krn adanya
gas yg terakumulasi di annulus
4. Penggunaan untuk peralatan artificial lift
5. Akan dipasang safety valve
6. Menahan packer fluid di annulus

tdk dpat dilepas dg packernya. Tubing akan melekat ke
casing selama packer belum lepas

1. Seal element : yg menyekat anulus tubing/casing.
Dibuat dr elastomer atau asbestos yg dpt ditekan untuk
berubah bentuk waktu packer dipaki u/ mengisi ruang
antara mandrel dg dinding casing
2. Packer mandrel : badan utama packer yg terdiri dr
metal u/ jadi pegangan seluru komponen packer
3. Slips : Komponen mekanis packer dg bentuk gigi
gerigi yg menyentuh ID casing & mencegah gerakan

slip untuk menekan gerigi pd dinding casing

A Typical Subsurface Safety Valve

Subsurface Safety systems are installed in the


wellbore as part of the completion.

Typically they are installed in the completion tubing


string a few hundred feet below the seafloor in
offshore applications. If the production platform were
damaged or destroyed, the well would be shut in
below the seafloor, preventing loss of the well and
pollution of the environment.

Controlled by surface hydraulic pressure, preset flow


differential, pressure drop.
